Let’s see your engagement ring

It's beautiful. Is it an antique ring? It looks quite 20s/30s.
Yea I got it in an antique shop. Art Deco. I wasn’t looking for anything, just browsing in the window, saw it, and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I went in a few days later and tried it on (big mistake) it fit perfectly but was very expensive. So I went home and tried to talk myself out of it. And then I just thought if it goes I will always regret it. So I went and got it. I love it but I still feel guilty about spending so much on myself. It’s less than a holiday would have been and didn’t get one in 2020. Still trying to justify it 🙈

You'll have the ring forever whereas the holiday would be over in a week or two.
I spotted a beautiful ring in a local independent jewellers a few years ago. Kept looking at it everytime I passed by, but kept telling myself was too expensive (£2800).

One day I walked by and it gone. I was gutted. I still regret not buying it 😢

This is mine, I love it so much 🥺!
It is honestly my dream ring and was designed for me by my fiancé’s jewler in Hatton garden.
I do sometimes feel guilty when I look at it because it could be used for a deposit on a house but I love it!
He proposed last year in the Maldives for my birthday!
I’ve been engaged for a year in 2 days!
I wonder if we will ever get married tho 😕😂
Unreal !

Mine! I love it because my now husband picked it himself. I would never have picked a marquise myself but I still stare at it every single day. It's such an unpopular diamond cut, I can't understand why, but because they are less common it feels so special!

i can't stop thinking about this price 😂
I suppose it is all relative.

For a 3.01 ct diamond which is verified by GIA/HRD you would expect to pay this, obviously it can largely differ in terms of the cut, clarity, colour, carat etc.

shouldn’t really be in this thread as it’s not an engagement ring 💍. But I love my emerald so much. (Delete if not relevant)
My wedding ring is emerald and diamonds and my engagement is just a standard solitaire ring. My husband choose both and I love them.

I’m sorry for resurrecting an old thread… didn’t think I’d ever get to contribute, but - after nearly 9 years, I finally can!

I am the proud new owner of this. Simple, classic and exactly what I would have chosen for myself. I love it. I don’t want to take it off, but it needs resizing a little bit. I can’t believe how close he got it, to be fair - I had no idea he was even planning it!

oh, and it was set on what would have been my dads birthday last year 🥰
