But what I have an issue is , this fake insta lifestyle women like Lauren love to sell to people and edit themselves beyond recognition . I remember going to body power expo in Birmingham and honestly I was so bleeping shocked at how insta famous people looked in life . This is going back a bit but as a rabid Pet Shop Boys fan (especially in the 1990s) I remember them saying many celebrities don't "look like themselves" (ie, how they look in airbrushed photos) - one example they gave was Madonna. Iirc, Tina Turner was one they thought did look pretty much as her photos/public image portrayed her.
Neil Tennant did interview pop stars for Smash Hits pre-fame, so I'm sure he knew how image versus reality went, back then.
Of course, social media, mobile phones with cameras, filters and Photoshop have made this sort of subterfuge a squillion times worse.

I actually pity her. She loved Mark Wright, he ditched her for the most beautiful woman ever..like who wants that?
