Nothing about this situation is funny, but I've just given myself hiccups laughing at "I'm half an Irishman".

Joking about that apart, this level of delusion is frightening. I don't think he actually knows who her boyfriend really is, so there's a non-zero chance that some random bystander could be hurt now.

Glad to see it’s not just me that cracked up at the half Irish comment.

All jokes aside though I do worry about how far his delusional behaviour will go. How far will he push things to try and regain control?

Seeing this all in the public eye is terrifying when you think how many women are going through this behind closed doors.

He is looking to blame anyone for this situation rather than taking any responsibility for his actions as the reason this has all happened is down to him.

I know that he's already broken the terms by posting about her... But can she also be accused of breaking them now that she's posted about him? It's probably not a good move on her part at this time, it's only going to give him more amo

He's not in rehab, he's off his chops at home. Someone on Reddit cross-checked the "rehabs" posts with old photos of the outside of his property.

Dangerous, deluded freak.

Ah, no. I really wish she hadn't done that.

I'm usually in favour of not suffering in silence, because that very thing has done untold damage for hundreds of years. This situation is different, though; he's either a very sick and dangerous man, or he's pretending to be for clicks.

This is not the time to experiment with finding out which of those is the correct answer.

Yep she needs to say nothing now, he wants a reaction, any reaction and he's getting it

As someone with an addic parent this is really terrifying.

My parent would behave the same way. Relapse, spiral, disappear and then rant either by text message or posting on Facebook.

The rants would become more and more unhinged. They'd make no sense grammatically and it would need to be deciphered.

The narrative they would create really scared us as kids. Because it would be completely untrue. But the way it was written and told we struggled to argue against it. Total lies told about almost every family member accusing innocent people of the worst things. Of domestic violence, sexual assault, faking pregnancies. You name it this person would accuse you of things so terrible that from the outside looking in you could understand why people would think surely no one would make this up.

Then the threats would come. False reports to police. Reports to social services.

They'd inevitably end up back in treatment. Then they'd come home and as children we were expected to welcome them and pat them on the back for being sober again.

The best thing for those children is to be nowhere near him if he's in active addiction. I can say that from experience. The adults in our lives should have protected us better and if Laura needs to share his behaviour publicly in order to be taken seriously and protect her children that's what she should do.

I no longer have a relationship with either parent. They're not together anymore and the addict parent is still continually posting lies and abuse about people on social media. The difference is now people know its just them spiralling.

I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs but unless he can acknowledge he has addiction issues and he wants to change then sadly it won't work. And as the child of an addict I'd much rather have grown up without that parent than being exposed to their behaviour.

This is what I'm torn on too, that victims shouldn't have to suffer in silence (as someone that has suffered narcissistic abuse and did that very thing) but I just feel this is far more delicate due to the children, plus the fact these aren't just regular people sharing with their friends and families, it's literally being played out to millions and the fact Laura appears to be using it as content and attention grabbing is what sits really uneasy with me.

I worry one day we will be watching this as a Netflix true crime documentary
I hate to say this because you may think I am victim blaming but..

Laura has a lot on her plate. She really needs to make an undocumented move out of California. She isn't sleeping and A is playing up right now (probably because she is upset most of the time and he can't verbalise to ask her why), she needs to take the bull by the horns and leave. This incessant drip of poison being pushed by Stephen, must be driving her insane. The police and courts haven't been able to stop this, so she has to. It is the responsible think to do for her sanity and the wellbeing of her children.

And before you come at me, Yes, I know A has severe autism, but even autistic children need their mother sane and alive.
