It bothers me too. I get that she’s ironic/sarcastic a lot of the time; that seems to be her humour.
But I really hate that she just had the have a dog, and as soon as she got one, it’s almost non stop complaining about the responsibility of actually looking after him.
It’s why I’ve had ti disengage - I thought she was a genuine, down to earth and likeable person, but on her insta she comes across like an entitled and spoilt, tantrumy teen.
I don't think it's fair to assume her fertility issues are weight related. She could have had a diagnosis years ago that has no relevance to her weight so regardless of her size she won't conceive. Or it could be Matt that has the issue

Definitely her weight is an obstacle to getting fertility treatment on the NHS but she has never said that her weight is the reason she needs treatment in the first place.
What kinda annoys me is she says nobody talks about infertility it’s a taboo subject then she doesn’t talk about it. She wants her story to be private but then also wants to trade on instagram on infertility. But nobody knows why she’s infertile because there are lots of reasons why you can’t conceive. If she wants to talk about it talk about it or shut up. Insta huns do the same with mental health issues. If you want to start a conversation then start with your own ‘ journey’.
She may not know what the issue is. I've not had a period in 2.5 years and I don't know what's wrong as the doctors did basic blood tests and then nothing..

Isn’t that called unexplained infertility? Let’s have a discussion about that Laura if that’s it. It’s bloody difficult. To feel you’re fobbed off with no reason. What I’m saying is let’s have a discussion! I don’t think it’s just infertility that’s not talked about. I honestly think there is very few people who expect you just to pick yourself after life traumas.

Sorry for off-topic - did your GP not refer you to a gynaecologist? I didn’t have one for 12 months and got a referral, I did pay about £120 to see someone privately to get a faster answer which I know I was lucky to be able to do but you deserve to know what is going on with your body. There would be a wait on the NHS but your GP should absolutely refer you! Hope that doesn’t come across as rude!

I read that as she/they have had initial investigations/tests regarding their inability to conceive and may well know the reason why hence the IVF route - if she suspects PCOS then she's probably not or very rarely ovulating and hormone treatment to stimulate ovaries and then egg extraction would probably be the only solution if this is the case. UK clinics are very strict with BMI levels, private ones allow for a lightly higher BMI but not much as IVF success rates are much higher when BMI levels are within normal ranges. Personally I think the BMI is outdated but despite her protestations I don't believe she's happy with her size (I've been following her since her Bake Off days) and it is possible to lose the weight if she wanted to more quickly over 1-2 years Morbidly obese woman loses 20 STONE after refusing to burden NHS | Daily Mail Online or with a reduced calorie diet and exercise over a longer period.
I know someone who suffered similar a few years ago (PCOS) and lost 6 stone over 12 months to qualify for IVF using the latter route. It was very, very hard work for them but at the end of the day they wanted a baby more than cake and that's what got them through it.

Losing weight for many people is incredibly difficult and complicated. Changing disordered eating habits requires a lot of support and time. Like with any other addiction, there are usually deep-rooted emotional issues or trauma involved, eating becomes an emotional response and release but it's short lived.
To break this cycle most people would probably need therapy. Therapy is emotionally draining and requires a lot of self reflection which is hard and can bring past trauma to the surface. You have to be in a good mental space to lose weight in a healthy manner.
It's not as simple as choosing to eat cake or have kids.
Anyway speculating over her ability to conceive is not something I'm particularly interested in. Good for her for talking about infertility though.

I can understand her being upset by this, but I think it was an honest mistake by the company. I don't think she needed to publicly shame them on instagram, she could have sent them a reply explaining her fertility issues and how upsetting the dm was.
Nah, I think that’s really tit and in her shoes I’d have named and shamed too. It’s such a stupid, stupid error and something that would be so upsetting to receive when you have literally *just* posted about how infertility has been hard for you.

I agree, clearly it was a mistake! It’s not fair to shame a really small business like this especially when they apologised too! Just take it down and move on!
