I guess @Antonio and @Alessandro might have a different opinion but I've always thought life is too short to make pasta!

Furthermore, my memory may be deceiving me, so I will have to watch the Apple Cake video again when I can bear to, but I thought I recalled that Kylie may have made a comment about people who watch her videos without making a contribution was a bit like taking the apples. Which I thought was a bit off at the time. Maybe I'm doing her an injustice here. Will have to revisit the vlog.

I doubt you are doing her an injustice @PlinyinTorquay Its sounds exactly like her usual self-serving guff! Would you pay to see advertorial - that’s how I see her vlogs as long ads for Kylie Inc.

Like you @Chazzygirl I enjoyed KF's content previously but have changed my opinion of her for reasons similar to yours. I'd watched her videos quite randomly but when I started paying attention to her timeline things seemed a bit off.

I sense that when Kylie first started on YT she was using it as a sort-of show reel or CV, in an effort to get into film production/direction, presenting or similar, but meanwhile knew she might attract a viewership interested in travel and lifestyle and so could profit via advertising and/or sponsorships. But her potential subject matter was limited due to the pandemic, and is now becoming more personal due to her engagement and subsequent realisation that she can pitch herself as a cult leader for all those who believe in beauty and romance.

I do wonder what she'd have done for content if she was stuck in the Florence apartment during the lockdowns, it was indeed lucky that she had Guido's family properties to commandeer as filming locations. Otherwise we'd had more than a year of cakes, stitching and shimmying indoors, with outdoor shots during permitted outings to the market or via sneaky drone while sitting in her apartment window.

I remember that too, the clothes thing was ludicrous! Even her sister who was supposed to be her partner left after a couple of weeks! She must be impossible to work with, think of the crews and editors she claims to have worked with who were not prepared to slave 24/7 to make her look good so she had to take herself off to become a one woman band

@Alessandro et al. I braced myself and watched the Tuscan Apple Tart vlog again. At around 21 minutes she was sort of talking about a farmer who would leave an honesty box by his apples and compared and herself/her films to that ...

Here's a transcription:

I definitely wouldn't be impressed if someone expected me to stay all day for a meeting about a possible clothes line. I am not at all surprsed it didn't work, her style at that time isn't really something that would appeal to many people, I don't know many adults who (unless possibly on the beach or in a club) would want to wear a midriff bearing top

@PlinyinTorquay my father can make homemade pasta in ten minutes with his little, super-basic Italian pasta machine, it’s not a big deal for Italians. Kylie makes it look way too hard and time consuming However, I haven’t managed yet to get through watching an entire recipe of hers. I just don’t have the patience for all the shimmying and breathless comments about minutiae

There were some corkers in there if anyone could be bothered transcribing it! Yes the flattery was truly None of it may of course be true and the guy may not even exist as you say. Or maybe they drank and flirted all night and this was really his hotel room and she stayed there with him! Once more going against all of her pontificating on love and alcohol! I'd not seen that video - and now I can't unsee it. She calls the guy on the phone Gareth. It was just a hook-up, does she expect us to believe she left him at 3am then he came out to her hotel for breakfast?
