tbh, it wouldn't surprise me if that whole fabricated story of the parents' race was "inspired" directly from the - genuinely funny - sports day episode of Motherland, which Laura watched the evening before, desperate for ideas to steal to create "comedy" sports day content - in addition to the usual vulgar staged situations that she pre-plans. it was such a generic story, with a touch of Laura-esque aggression, that it was quite obviously just a story she spewed out for content - not funny at all, although if it genuinely HAD happened, she'd be dismissing her behaviour as being a "female comedian" as someone's nan was carted off to hospital on a stretcher.
i bet her poor kids - plus all the teachers and parents - absolutely dread sports day, and all other school events which Laura attends. she undoubtedly spends the whole time whinging and complaining, turning up solely for the opportunity to create content derived from her hatred of being a parent and taking any and everyy opportunity to indecently expose herself in the presence of all the kids, and loudly label any parent who complains about her crudeness as a "bleep".
