I genuinely am shocked at those pre kid videos and I can't work out if she is just genuinely really immature (more than most normal people in their early twenties) or she never got an education of ANY kind and that's the result. It was like she had the mental age of a 12 year old!

Each to their own, but also not for me. I don’t like the patterns of shadows they make. My in laws have similar and they use quite a low wattage bulb so it doesn’t scorch your eyes, which means it’s like a cave in winter 
I think you’re supposed to buy those industrial look bulbs.
Is the living room finished? I know they’ve been waiting for months to have the fire place plastered but I wasn’t sure if the painting they did was a temporary fix. They still only have one curtain up and junk everywhere.
I know - wouldn’t you clear the crap up, and get the fireplace fitted before buying the accessories and finishing touches like light shades?
