I’ve got so much to say about her, but I’ll start with last nights documentary and what I saw of Harvey and his behaviour. I have worked with SEN children and adults for 26 years. His behaviour has never been managed to the point where he can regulated his anxiety and anger. I have come across very few young adults who displayed a similar level of aggression both to himself and surroundings. That’s why rare cases of these type of young adults being sectioned are so prevalent in the media. School will have tried their best to help with strategies but it’s sadly obvious that this has not been carried out at home. It’s odd that Harvey’s needs have increased so much in the last couple of years, hence him being placed in residential school. In my opinion, this has been since Amy became ill and moved to Spain. Amy was openly his main Carer and since she’s gone KP hasn’t known how to handle him or meet his basic care needs. Look back on all her reality programmes, Harvey was rarely seen in those, even back in the Katie & Peter days. She is obviously ill equipped to deal with him and care for him.
The odd habit of her saying something and he responds etc is like they have their own catchphrases. This is not good for a child with communication needs. It’s known as echolalia, and a common trait in autistic people. They tend to use it as a self comfort. KP encouraging this is another bad sign, she should be trying to engage him in communication, if not verbal then through communication books etc.
For the first college visit she didn’t bring his ear defenders and she didn’t prepare him in any way.
For the next visit she only brought out the social story book in the taxi! She would’ve received this at least a few weeks in advance, She should’ve been showing him this every day, if not twice a day to fully prepare him. The poor kid didn’t know what the hell was happening to him! I was fuming all the way through this programme because of she was a decent parent it might’ve been a totally different story for Harvey, and he could’ve been a much calmer, less anxious, happier boy.
She’s an absolute disgrace as a Mother and has failed that child at every turn, starting by refusing to stop her very public partying (and everything that entails ) when she was pregnant with him.

I strongly advise people here to scroll down to the end of the article, a short video of Harvey, it's very sweet.

I really shouldn't read here, as it just makes for very sad reading.

I have no empathy for her but I'm sure all of us that read here/comment whether we have children are not, but probably have nieces/nephews/grandchildren - all of us feel for Harvey. Inside he shall be so frustrated - he probably can do a lot more than she gives him credit for. He could/should have a happy and contented life.

You didn't see so much of this when Amy was around - as much as she must love her daughter, for her own health, you can see why she has had to step away. I expect it breaks her heart to see Harvey used like this. It isn't anything else other than him being used and exploited.

Our DS doesn't have all of the problems Harvey has - but life has always been a challenge, from the get go. We only have him - I knew he would need everything I had, so there was no more children for us. I know of other Families that did have more children, and no problems - I worked full time, had a husband (use that term loosely) that liked other women a bit too much - my Boy had to come first, and always had.

We had 6 years on our own, before I met my Husband. He is a real Dad and great with our son. He has always accepted that our Son comes first. That's what parents and real Men do. I am Thankful every day, that the 3 of us are tight.

It is a lottery Pink Squirrel - you are right, and no, it shouldn't be - absolutely not! I've done my fair share of volunteering for our local Carers Centre, and also within our Council, to know that as a parent you can have a voice, and bring change. It's appealing that she has never taken that opportunity to raise awareness, and only wants to do so now, to keep herself in the public domain.

I hope with all my heart that she knows of this site, and reads here. If you do read here KP... You are an utter disgrace. Selfish. Arrogant. And an utter User of everyone around you, including a young man that is unable to verbally defend himself.

That's the dauphine bag roughly £2k and she allegedly hasn't a pot to piss in. Take note creditors.

Wow Katie's threads are moving fast

I wonder if Peter Andre watched Harvey and Me... he is yet to comment...
I'm sure Harvey's trust fund money Peter paid right(?) would benefit Harvey's current transition...
I think he also gave some money post his court win(?) For Harvey ...

[/QUOTE]

Peter and Dwights money can surely sort out Harvey's care then?

It isn't about money though. It is about his suitability for a place wherever. We can be as rich as Bill Gates but we can't cure our relative's cancer with money.

There was an article i found the other day about Pete and Price winning a court case from The News Of The World, accusing them of their bad parenting, and it stated the money they won was going to charity and in the children's trust funds

Probably right or off one of those insta sellers that I see pop up. I'm over the monogram phase but I really like this bag, there was an 8 month wait list for it.

This post needs to be screenshotted and posted under every fucking bot post. I am a mother of an autistic child and what you say is 100% accurate. Can I just thank you for all the good work you have done for SEN kids in the 26 years of your work. I know you didn’t post it for that, but it needs saying.

I think Harvey is a dote. Apart from the inappropriateness of the scratch cards, I enjoyed that video, purely because of him. Not fussed on her trying to get a reaction out of him by going off script.
I’ve never bought a scratch card, but I do know of people that get addicted to them so showing a vulnerable boy like Harvey that scratch cards can maybe win you the money to buy 20,000 iPads isn’t the best idea Katie

I literally cry when I read the posts from all of you mothers/fathers who are actually going through this without the media to push your case. You are the most brilliant people out there. You have my . Every time one of you posts about your circumstances I want to punch KP in the face and scream 'this is really what it is about you scheming fake whore'. Harvey deserves something as long as it doesn't involve her - she doesn't care at all.
