On Leo DiCaprio cycling through young models, Bobby repeatedly says things like "you can't fault him" "you've gotta respect him" "it's impressive what he's able to accomplish". It's only Katherine repeatedly telling the audience that Bobby wouldn't want this, Bobby doesn't watch p*rn, Bobby respects women... Does he?

I think Bobby throughout the podcast episodes is very honest and clear about his views. Which aren't terrible, just sort of average, sometimes not great. But then Katherine tries to paint him as the most incredible man she's ever met.
He is a small town boy with small town views. I cringe when I think about the now manchildren that I was with as a teenager, couldn't pay me to go back there. I used to love their love story, now it kinda feels like people settling more than anything.

I think Katherine is at least as in love with their love story as she is with Bobby himself. And 100% agree that she feels a v strong need to portray him as totally perfect

Bobby talking about that lawn was one of the most boring things that happened to me today. I do think he’s a good looking man but he doesn’t seem very funny or have anything of interest to say. I’d have imagined Katherine to be with someone with a bit more depth and intelligence.

Omg it really was 😂.
Also he doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humour? Maybe every couple needs a straight man but jeez.
By the end of the podcast Katherine was claiming to her sister that Leo DiCaprio was a "whole different situation" when talking about 35yr olds dating 18yr olds...why's that then Kathrine? Cos Bobby said so?

Bobby strikes me as nothing more than having provided stud duties and will be retired and put out to grass in a couple of years whilst Katherine embarks upon a string of extra maritals. He’ll turn a blind eye because he’ll have food, golf and an income and be happy.

It has gone through my mind that she was desperate for another baby before she met him so she’s kinda used him for that. He’s now provided the sperm for two babies, I’m not sure they’ll last the distance. I hope they do though! I just feel a little unconvinced when someone confesses their love for their partner at every opportunity. And she does quite often say she loves Bobby, sometimes quite randomly. I just think who is she trying to convince?

I think it’s interesting that they’ve not married, but went into a civil partnership. I think she knows it might not last and is protecting herself financially. I’d love to know if there’s a pre-nup. What exactly does he bring to the relationship other than his sperm and his grass-mowing skills?

The way she lives her life is diametrically opposed to her comedy, persona and the 'feminism' she preaches

How does a civil partnership protect her though? Legally, it's the same as a marriage.

You’re right! I just assumed that there would be some differences between the two, financial protection being one of them. I stand corrected.

I know someone who had a CP divorce recently, she said that as they were married for less than 5 years they could just go their separate ways. I don't this is actually true, I think she just had the funds for a better solicitor and shafted her wife.

Yeah I was in a CP for >5 years and this absolutely isn't true I have the legal bills to prove it 😭

Considering how she isn’t backward about talking about her wealth and the private care she can buy for pregnancy and birth, it does sound strange that she’s being bashful about having a nanny.

My guess, if I’m being unkind, is it doesn’t quite chime with the image she wants to portray as an attachment-ish parent.

Yeah I think it’s that exactly. She wants to be seen as this amazing attachment parent who can still somehow do it all with her career. I have a great career (lucky enough to be largely WFH) and a wonderful nanny who looks after our children a few afternoons a week. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

She portrays herself as the woman who can do it all, having a nanny doesn’t fall into that so that’s why she calls her “Fred’s babysitter”. Call a spade a spade Katherine, you usually do.

I mean I still don't quite understand why a family with a stay at home parent needs a nanny, but I suppose all that golf isn't going to play itself

I bet the Nanny isn’t happy about being referred to that way either.
