Sorry but it's different. There's no point in showing off a baby sucking on a bottle because with breastfeeding it's about the personal connection. There's no personal connection with an interchangable piece of rubber is there. It's also really amazing and emotional being able to feed your baby from your own body.

Showing breastfeeding gives breastfeeding mums a bad name?! What in the 1950s misogynistic body shaming is this? Breasts are for breastfeeding not sure what your problem is.
I agree with your second point, it’s misogyny. Showing breastfeeding is just sharing part of the journey.
But the first part feels very intended to upset someone who can’t or doesn’t breastfeed. There is still emotional connection when bottle feeding. Eye contact and that quiet time is incredibly important in the bonding experience, bottle or breast. Don’t diminish that.
I say that as someone who breastfed until my daughter was four. Let’s not try and upset or exclude the experience of anyone because of how they feed their baby. Fed is best.

Everytime I click on this thread I hope for more Katherine goss and bobby k shade but all I get is breastfeeding posts. It's one of the most boring debates ever.

I am literally begging to keep gender chat out of this thread; it infects so many threads and it's so bloody depressing.

I work in tv/entertainment and I’ve met a lot of famous people/celebrities… KR is genuinely the nicest of them all. I was pleasantly surprised - I think her media persona is just that - an exaggerated, characterised version of herself. She’s lovely, humble and just seemed “normal”. Jimmy Carr on the other hand… 😬

Nah I’m with her - it’s gross. It’s been a few months so she might have been 17 when they met. Yeah all legal etc but gross.

Same girl, same.

She’s going to have a breakdown if she isn’t careful. Some women love to act like pregnancy and birth is no big deal, and any woman who found it difficult or traumatic is just making a fuss out of nothing. “Pregnancy isn’t an illness, guys!” etc. It’s just classic pick me behaviour.

But the problem with that is not allowing yourself to rest or heal, physically or mentally. Clearly she just wants to project a tough girl image but jeez, no one will give you a medal for jumping straight back into work.

Sounds like she fell into a woo-woo hypnobirthing rabbit hole that brainwashes women into believing an easy birth can be achieved by anyone if they want it badly enough.
Word. There's no glory in never taking a break and there's no shame in stopping to enjoy your new kiddo.

I gave birth on Monday early morning and went back to work Friday afternoon because a) he died shortly after birth and I needed to GFTO of my house and my head and b) I was 20 and working slightly over minimum wage with no family or maternity leave and couldn't afford to not work.

A good friend went back to work after two and a half weeks because she couldn't afford not to work.

A colleague came back to work after a week because her babies were born eleven weeks premature and in the NICU and she wanted to save her very limited maternity leave for when they came home.

Being able to brag about not taking a maternity leave is a reaaaaaaaaaally fucking privileged thing to do. She looooves to shit on Americans but if she had to live here for a month she'd change her fucking tune real quick.

Also, Violet saying she looks like the Statue of Liberty in drag is the best thing I've heard in a long time.

I think its extra important to make sure Violet is treated the same as the other kids because she has a different dad. I am in a stepfamily, and being shunted off to economy with the nanny while my mum, stepdad and new siblings all sat somewhere else together would have hurt loads. Not even the fact that they were in business and I was in economy, but they were all together, like a perfect nuclear family, without me.
Once again it feels like one of those things that even if everyone felt ok with in the moment, may cause issues in the future.

The fashion now seems to be talking about your 'disorders' .... Autism, ADD, ADHD ... no doubt she has one of these and will take great delight in informing-us.
?????

Your comment has literally nothing to do with KR and everything to do with your own attitude.

If a mate of mine told me her husband had burnt something of hers I'd be getting the numbers of domestic abuse charities.

Totally agree with the patting herself on back and no offense crap! I really think she needs to take a much needed break from social media, podcasting etc as she is making a holy show of herself as we say here in Ireland.

I also got irked when Violet asked for baby not to be born in her bed and she went ahead and did it anyway. And so blazé about how she must be traumatised over it. No shit!!
Agree again to both! I found it really rather sad/upsetting when she totally disregarded Violet's wishes about the baby being born in her room - that was a genuine violation in my opinion, and she almost bragged about it afterwards. I'm uneasy with how she's using Violet for content these days too - it's quite humiliating documenting her transgressions and punishments. And then she says Violet is fine with her sharing as if a 13 year old can give informed consent :/ all after protecting her so diligently online for so long

I have a real dislike for most kids that are not my own. I had a kid be rude to my child in my front garden recently and I told her to get the fuck out of my garden and called her and her mam an ugly troll... Well, she told her mam and I denied it and she got in trouble. Glad to have gotten that off my chest..
bit weird.

Definitely. She's getting to the really difficult teenage years now, 14 is often when it all kicks off with girls. I wouldn't be surprised if she starts to lash out against KR and the whole nuclear family with BK.

Imagine you spent so many years of your life just you and your mum in inner city London, close as best friends, and suddenly you've lost that whole dynamic to an egotistical stepdad who thinks he's an alpha, 2 baby half-siblings very close in age and a mansion in Hertfordshire. That's got to mess with your head.

I still like the podcast because I do appreciate her being honest with her opinions and it can give me pause and make me think about things in a different way. Whilst I am not opposed to cancel culture (which I think is just holding people accountable for shitty actions); I think a lot of people in the public eye are only allowed one opinion on most topics and if it doesn’t track with the current majority then they’re attacked for it. Therefore so many people seem afraid to say anything provocative. Now that being said, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic etc opinions are never ok in my opinion and I wouldn’t listen to or endorse anyone who holds them, and unfortunately most people in the public domain seem to be one extreme or the other, with echo chambers at each end of the spectrum. So I appreciate listening to Katherine as something of a middle ground.

She has had some takes that I wholeheartedly disagree with. Some examples that come to mind are:

1. her blind defensiveness of all comedy and opinion that no joke is off limits, it is a slippery slope into censorship etc. I’m sorry but some jokes are off limits. Jokes about the holocaust for example are disgusting in my opinion. Millions, including thousands of children, were slaughtered. That is not a topic to joke about IMO.
2. Her arguement that the cat bed burning thing was a set up designed to provoke women into recognising abuse in their own lives - that argument holds no merit when the only people you admit the ‘truth’ to are your podcaster listeners. The people seeing it on TV and TikTok just believe you’re endorsing/cool with abusive behaviour because you haven’t explained you were in on the “joke”
3. Her constant “I’m not like other girls” narrative. Someone wrote in saying she didn’t want to swallow during oral and Katherne told her to just get over it and do it as it “doesn’t taste bad”. That is terrible advice! Nobody should feel pressured to ingest anything they don’t want to or do anything sexually they don’t want to. We wouldn’t be expected to be cool with drinking any other bodily fluid (spit, wee, blood) so we do we have to accept swallowing cum?!
4. Her constantly trying to make Bobby happen. Nobody thinks he is hot or interesting apart from her. And I don’t even think she finds him interesting.
5. I LOATHE her fashion sense

ETA they deffo could’ve given that cat bed to an animal sanctuary- her argument of not knowing how to get it there is ridiculous when it clearly made its way to her house somehow. She has enough money to pay a courier service or man with a van to take it. I’m sure a sanctuary would’ve absolutely loved it as a good bit of PR if nothing else.

Yeah, real thumbs-up for that. Are you KIDDING?
No, it’s not necessarily for me or something I like being promoted to young women and kids but it’s better than the alternative- Bella Hadid pretending that her facelift is due to tape or a high ponytail. Just as bad as when rail thin celebrities pretend they eat pizza and don’t work out.

Katherine has spoken about her filler, Botox, boob job etc on her podcast and in her books. I respect that over ‘I’m just naturally line free at 40’ BS.

I suspect this might be an unpopular opinion, given how many positive comments there are on this thread, but I think she’s awful! Unfunny, fake and generally comes across as an arrogant, unpleasant person.
I always change the channel if she pops up on screen. Even if it’s one of her dreadful Wowcher adverts!
