She's on holiday somewhere fancy and tropical; i hope she talks about it on the pod! I love holiday photos and videos and chat - I think I just live vicariously through them like a weirdo and also I really do genuinely like her but she DESPERATELY needs some interesting subjects to talk about now...

Slightly side-eyeing her taking Violet out of school but I know private schools have different holidays so maybe it's their Easter hols already? And to be fair I took my eleven year out of school for two days at half term as we couldn't get flights home before school started again! I did feel pretty guilty about it though

She's put up a vid of Bobby and Violet mocking her speaking French and although like all negative things Bobby-related she tries to brush it off I think it really hurts her feelings. She also posted a poll on her stories asking if they were being reasonable or rude. The answer is rude! Bobby is clearly jealous and insecure as a Canadian who can't speak French so he has to put her down about it. fool.

What did he give up though truly? Small town living and a bootlocking corporate job? Hardly giving up much and not like he wasn't moving to a mansion on outskirts of London to just play golf and do the odd bit of parenting. His life seems v boring I will say that, but I would say it was as boring in Canada.

Well since you put it like that (I honestly don’t know anything about his hometown/job) I guess it’s a bit of a golden ticket, isn’t it? I was thinking of it primarily in terms of giving up on his entire life - home, family, friends - to start again in London on his own, doing not-much and kicking around a fancy house. Its kind of a gilded cage.

Well since you put it like that (I honestly don’t know anything about his hometown/job) I guess it’s a bit of a golden ticket, isn’t it? I was thinking of it primarily in terms of giving up on his entire life - home, family, friends - to start again in London on his own, doing not-much and kicking around a fancy house. Old Katherine wouldn’t have put up with her partner making fun and being rude about her speaking French. And doing absolutely nothing but golf and mowing the lawn. Same. I could almost feel the stress radiating from her going on about those football tickets! She sounded so panicky at the thought of letting BK down. Why does she want to constantly please/appease him? Reminds me of a previous toxic relationship I was in where I would bend over backwards and became a shell of my former self trying to please someone else who was impossible to placate, and it concerns me she is going down the same path. She was such a force who I admired in her independent single mom don't give a crap days. It's like she's a completely different (unhappier) person.

I agree that the podcast is becoming dull, and what’s worse is I think she knows it. She spins out fairly dull anecdotes about some monotonous aspect of the practical boring stuff regarding daily life, and makes it about five times longer than it needs to be.

I’m genuinely delighted for her with the babies and her happy domestic life, but sometimes it feels like she’s used up all of her funny stories and is struggling for content. I still really enjoy episodes where she’s laying into the likes of Tristan Thompson and Leonardo DiCaprio, that’s where her feistiness and biting humour comes through. I think maybe taking a 6 month break from the podcast would revitalise it a bit, and trimming it to 45 minutes max. I think that’s how it was when it started. But I feel that way about a lot of podcasters- like they’re all terrified to take an extended break in case they lose their audience, and that’s understandable too I guess.

Didn't Bobby share a "Look at my famous ex" type Insta post which reeled her back in when she was back in town? I remember that is why she contacted him and then they met up. He knew exactly what he was doing and I think she was vulnerable at the time. He knew she wanted more kids and he had the seed to provide.

Shame she was so blindsided and dumb to fall for it. It could ruin her career if she continues to only do content about domestic "bliss" with BK.

He was bad mouthing his ex wife on the most recent podcast. Said she used to accuse him of flirting with everyone, you become insecure about a partner for a reason I find. But no previous kids AFAIK, none mentioned anyway.

It’s true, even if he had a pretty average life in Canada with a bit of a crappy job etc and has ‘upgraded’ in terms of lifestyle, he still left his entire support network behind which is hard no matter what. Years ago I took a job overseas which had great perks, good pay and they always put staff in 5* hotels (I’d never so much as been in a 5* lobby before) and I had an absolutely awful time. I look back now when I have no hope of getting into a 5* and even I wonder what my problem was but honestly it was such a sad and lonely time. Your support network is everything. But he seems to have mates and his wife sets him up on play dates so

He lived in Toronto at the time they reconnected AFAIK, not Sarnia. Toronto is a massive city, and if he had a core friend group there then it would have been a huge culture shock to move to a quiet London suburb. IDK, maybe I'm playing devil's advocate but I do think their relationship is genuine

Has anyone else’s listened to this weeks pod? I was howling, I couldn’t quite believe that they didn’t pay for a seat for Fred, it’s not like he could fit in a bassinet. Violet and the nanny in economy, I was surprised and get it but don’t at the same time, like she says she’s a rich woman anyway when Fred turns 2 what will they do?
