Glad I found this thread. I’m a fan of KR but only recently started listening to her podcast. Yes, she does talk about money a lot but I think she’s trying to be upfront and not all coy about it. I like that she’s with someone with different views (I’m not exactly sure what her husbands views are but we’re all individuals).
What I have noticed is she quite often talks about how chill she is and how nothing bothers her at all etc. Low blood pressure etc. She has said it in connection to her and Bobby’s relationship, basically ‘I don’t cause trouble’ and I find that quite telling. It gives the impression she views the role of wife as someone who should be kinda subservient and not ruffle feathers. Don’t get too passionate about things, as if that’s not what women (especially WIVES do). Bobby clearly doesn’t like that Megan had a voice and used it which is why he prefers dead behind the eyes Kate, who is essentially a puppet and never publicly expresses her own opinions. He reeks of sexism to me.
I’m sure KR must read as I have been catching up with this thread and last month someone commented that she doesn’t post about her friendship with Sara Pascoe any more and now she’s at her show, promoting it on her insta
Last thing - I realise she is breastfeeding a newborn and that takes up so much time, but she does seem to enjoy showing her boob and nipple on stories. I’m not saying women should cover up as it’s nothing to be ashamed of (at all!!) it’s just she seems to be enjoying showing them off…I don’t get it.

2) Sex sells. Female bodies sell. Doesn’t matter that it’s a natural, maternal act… it’s probably been covered in some online tabloid stories and it gets her in the public eye / male followers.
Bit torn on the boob thing. She feeds on demand and depending on baby that can be all the bloody time. My youngest fed for literally 7 hrs a day. Half of it was probably comfort feeding but she was the right weight etc so let her carry on. I remember my old fashioned mum saying that it was ‘okay’ to bf in public but how some go out of their way to ‘flaunt it’ and it made my blood boil. So I think it’s just her normalising it and I feel like we can sometimes have a bit of internalised misogyny about it. Not having a go at all, I definitely have some internalised misogyny around things that I don’t pick up on and probably would have shared your view prior to my own boob monster.
That’s the same old sexism though, saying that a woman has to live up to a certain standard (in this case, “having a voice and using it” - not sure exactly for what though) to be considered better than another. It's different when you're deliberate taking pictures of yourself breastfeeding over and over and uploading on a public platform for thousands to see? Like clearly you want some kind of attention/reaction. Breastfeeding is fine but why share public pics of your nipples. Another thing is I'd be mortified as an adult or teen if my mum had uploaded multiple pictures of me breastfeeding to her large public audience. More than mortified I'd be furious.

Yeah I get your point. It’s why I feel a bit torn. I don’t think it’s necessary and it’s not for me BUT I think she and others have the attitude of using social media to give followers access to their life and this is what her life is at the moment. It’s probably representative of her days right now. She was saying in a recent podcast that’s she is hunkering down and just at home with family. She does know how to get coverage though so no doubt there will be a daily mail article about it soon.
I breastfed too so no internalised misogyny here. I’m a fierce supporter of being able to bf in public. It should be normalised, yes. But like the other poster said, it’s different when you’re choosing to post on stories. She can easily not show her boob but almost always chooses to and I just think it’s a bit odd. It’s not the act of bf or that she’s storying while feeding it’s that she’s choosing to move the camera to her feeding child. and yes this does invade Fenna’s privacy too as I certainly wouldn’t want footage of me bf as a baby out in the world for any weirdo random to see. Just my opinion. I’m still big KR fan.
I nursed mine for over 2 years all together, I have been in plenty of pics online breastfeeding at a party or something but never with my full or any or my breast out. Showing your breasts is not necessary to normalize breastfeeding, it is obvious what your child is doing when nestled into your chest. When I was nursing I watched an eye opening and vomit inducing show on C4 or 5 about a man who was caught with indecent images of children. A few was of a women nursing with a man doing the unthinkable close by, he had been in same room as his DIL nursing his grandchild.. Whether we like it or not a woman bfing is sexual to some, why even open your child up to that possibility!?

Agree with what everyone is saying. You’d have to be pretty naive to not realise that there will be men getting off on your breastfeeding videos. So many women do this on Insta stories and think it’s OK because they disappear in 24 hours. They will be getting saved on people’s hard drives, believe me.
Literally ANY excuse to get her breast out, child's clearly not even feeding..

If you watch the series of Taskmaster she is in you can see her natural lips, its quite jarring to compare
She looks utterly absurd. I don't find the breast-feeding objectional personally, she's clearly an attention-seeker so if she wasn't doing that she'd be getting her breasts out for another reason. At the end of the day, people don't have to look at it. I'm just sick of over-sharing in general though ... it's hard to escape from.
A question for any mothers reading though ... would the breast-feeding thing upset those who cannot for whatever reason breast-feed?
My take is that it's rather socially unacceptable to flash your entire breast and/or nipple in public and on social media... so why go to the actual effort of filming your breasts and nips and sharing on Instagram Stories? Because you can normalise breastfeeding without filming your actual nork and putting it on the internet for all to see.
It's not the breastfeeding I object to, but the attention seeking and nudity. Not to mention - as a previous poster mentioned - invading the privacy of a little baby who cannot consent to videos of herself suckling being put online and enjoyed by pervs with fetishes.
