What makes me laugh is a lot of influencers are so dismissive of constructive feedback yet are the first to complain when their engagement levels drop or they're losing followers. Of course it must be the algorithm changes and not the way you treat your followers and boring content .

So many of them lack self awareness and accountability.

Oh hi! I’ve just read this entire thread and i agree with you all. I unfollowed Kate quite a while ago because her clutter is too much for me, and I found her unrelatable and a bit shallow tbh. I remember when she bought that designer 1970 jumper costing hundreds, shrunk it so bought another, that was my realisation that we’re existing in very different worlds.

Whether she’s from money or not I don’t know, but these girls, Kate, Milkteef and Lily, have always been privileged. At 19 they could afford the more spendy stuff, mod range designers and a constant shit load of high street hauls. I don’t think it was normal to have that much stuff even back then, drawers and drawers full of beauty stuff…like…why? They’ve always been in the aspirational bracket, and the bloggers who were less privileged like Miss Budget Beauty (remember her?) never did as well.

I do think she works hard...in a way, she’s been very consistent over the years with her personal brand, but yeah she's clearly had a leg up and desperately needs a reality check.

She’s done well, but living life for the gram and putting so much value on aesthetics just feels a bit sad though right?

Wild! Up until I saw this I just turned off all the lights in my apartment and bashed into the furniture between my bathroom and bed in the dark. Who would have thought turning on a bedside light = turndown service! I thought the lamp was just decoration for insta pics.

Yeah, I thought she definitely WAS from money - but she's probably not going to admit that in a Q&A. She certainly seems to have the funds to buy property whenever she wants to; two flats, a coffee shop.

Also, in that Q&A she mentioned she lived with two boyfriends before she met Jordan. I thought they started dating when she was around 19? I could be wrong. If that's the case she must have started co-habiting quite young to have lived with two different boyfriends. I always thought Jord was probably her first serious relationship. Guess not!

I think it depends on her perspective of what a wealthy family is when answering that question. According to her she would have an apartment overlooking Central Park opposed to south Glasgow, that would be extreme wealth So she is showing she is a tad out of touch. What she considers wealthy is very different to what the average person would consider wealthy.

Used to love following Kate - enjoy her lifestyle and interiors and have do so for many years.

She’s been insanely grabby recently - every bloody story is an #ad. I must have been in a bad mood the other night as I messaged her to say that I appreciate she is having a baby and needs to earn a living, but why is every story now an ad? Doesn’t come across as very authentic!

Her response? ‘Just unfollow me you clown’. Blown away as didn’t think she’d be so immature. I mean, surely, someone like her who hosts Scottish home of the year, has thicker skin than this?

She also went on to say that her friend had booked me for her wedding and she would make sure she knew about our conversation.

I have my photography page linked to my personal bio but due to personal circumstances, I’m taking a year or two off. So her little supposed dig at me didn’t quite work out did it?

Full disclosure, I normally like Kate despite her bonkers unrelatable lifestyle, but this made me roll my eyes. Well off influencers choosing to join in with everyone else moaning about costs of stuff just jars right now.

As a relatively new mum I hate all this picture perfect content. Even at 9 months I still can’t fit in a timely hair wash, and she’s arranging her skin care wardrobe makes me wonder where I’m going wrong.

Eight month old baby here and in exactly the same boat. Except it's my second baby and I know how she's doing it. It's money. She's spending a whole load of money and that's the difference. I bet they quietly have a cleaner and suspect they also have a doula/nanny secretly doing a bunch of stuff.

Wondered how long before artipoppe sent over a carrier. She kept tying the reasonably-priced sling wrong

I wish these were the biggest hurdles in my life. I don’t hate her as much as some other influencers but she doesn’t do herself any favours not acknowledging how lucky/privileged she is.

We’d all have a ~dreamy newborn stage if our partners were with us all day and we could afford to spend the best part of a grand on shoes without flinching.

Kate on the beg for a free fancy highchair so I see. I honestly cringe when i see these influencers doing that. I have second hand embarrassment for them. Especially when she isnt strapped for cash- can spend thousands on designer clothes for herself but doesn’t want to spend her own money on a highchair for her daughter? Also, what happened to selling some of her clothes off to donate to turkey/syria fund?

To be fair up until last year I didn’t want kids I wasn’t ready at all then the pandemic changed things. I totally understand where she’s coming from in that sense because I was the same. It gave me perspective and a direction that I want in life.
She looks great to be fair.
