I just saw one of her weird posts on Instagram and it reminded me -- does she look jaundiced to anybody else? Has she always had that weird skin color? Could be just me. Or maybe she puts a lot of makeup on to look sick? or because she thinks spraytan bronzing makes her beautiful?

Agree. Whenever I see one of her videos, her skin colour always strikes me as off, and she looked very jaundiced in the mexico ones. She definitely doesn't look healthy to me - especially for someone doing so many supposedly 'healthy' protocols.

I'm not white-knighting her - but I do think she's actually sick. I think the grift is in the story she tells around how sick she was initially (to get sympathy for funds for Mexico, plus it benefitted her lifestyle) and how she overstates the effects of the woowoo medicine rather than admitting that it's the alectinib that's keeping her alive. It's obvious she absolutely hates mainstream medicine but is far too arrogant to admit how much she needs it.

I remember listening to a podcast with oncologist and she said cancer treatments have changed so rapidly, people being diagnosed at different timeframes have different treatment options. Even 18 months ago - treatments have changed since then. It seems like with such amazing advancements in treatment, some types of cancer will become more chronic type conditions people can live with for a very long time. I find it absolutely disturbing Kate knows nothing about her actual cancer and is more convinced by absolute nonsense! She could be doing so much with her platform but it’s clearly to make money and clout for herself. The arrogance to also not plan for her daughter - her statements in podcasts where she just says she doesn’t entertain that idea that she will die and leave her daughter because “she can’t”. Imagine being so arrogant to think just because you don’t want to, you won’t die? What an insult to all the people before you who battled cancer and sadly died. It’s not a matter of willpower ffs.

thats just awful lady at my work said she had breast cancer, was adopting a child from overseas and that her dad had s3xually abused her. Her sister and mother actually visited the owner one day to say she is very sick mentally. Beggars belief honestly!

I think everyone has been touched by cancer some how, i have 2 friends with it and lost my mum to it.

We had a woman at work who kept taking time off for 'treatment' and things just started not adding up. When she was (gently) asked for a letter from her doctor, perhaps some indication of the future treatment plan, she literally NEVER CAME BACK TO WORK. Ghosted the company! I can't understand how people can live with themselves.

I have a feeling she found out news about the cancer in her lungs while she was in hospital that she is desperately in denial about and that’s why she’s being so petulant. It’s probably also why she checked herself out against doctors orders, because she doesn’t want to hear what they have to say about how dire her condition is. Just a hunch.

This Olivia Lesslar doesn't look particularly versed in cancer. She's not an oncologist. It looks like she has completed medical training, worked as a registrar etc. and has joined all these 'functional medicine' companies/institutes... So how can she actually have any input on scans or staging cancer?

Thats interesting because from what I’ve gathered so far she seems very antagonistic towards traditional medicine so that definitely fits.

And yet she's still taking the conventional immune therapy drug that she's been offered (Alectinib) and it's likely the only thing keeping her alive! Not that she'd ever admit it, of course. She definitely has a massive sense of entitlement and seems to see it as an amazing personality trait. She expects the world and everything in it to bend to her will (ironic that she's always going on about how her ex-husband was a narcissist...).

Not only has she scammed people out of money to fund her Mexico trips, but she actively promotes that Hope centre quackery as if it is "curing" her. She actively disregards any evidence based treatment she receives that is keeping her alive. It's deceptive and dangerous.
The person who will be most harmed is her daughter when it all catches up to her and her daughter is left behind without having had the opportunity to prepare.
Let's hope that her denial is a grift rather than her reality, for her daughter's sake.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. From the moment this woman was diagnosed she (rightly or wrongly) has been in complete denial of her stage 4 terminal diagnosis. She was originally given 6 to a year to live this was before she began the targeted immunotherapy drugs which have obviously been incredible at prolonging her life and prognosis. I do not believe she was EVER in full remission - with a stage 4 diagnosis patients don’t go into full remission. A person with a stage 4 terminal diagnosis may be NED for a certain amount of time but unfortunately with the nature of the beast the likelihood of the cancer returning and being the cause of their death is inevitable. Of course with the advances in modern medicine changing all the time, a person with stage 4 cancer today is very different to someone who was diagnosed 10 years ago.. we now have the incredible targeted therapy’s that make it possible to live with the disease much longer than in the past.

I agree that the only person who is going to suffer from her denial is her daughter. She hasn’t done anything to prepare that girl for the real possibilities of what may come.

Yes she was on an episode of the podcast ‘Everyone has an ex’ and discusses it. I listened ages ago before I even knew she had an Instagram page and it stuck with me. They also touch on her cancer at the end of the episode. Well worth a listen.

Ok, I just listened to the podcast. I will say upfront that I simply do not believe that she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2018 that was so progressed by the time it was even discovered that it had metastasized to more than 5 areas of her body and she is still alive 5 years later. Nope. Did not happen. Sorry.

That said … I noticed that her Instagram page begins at this point (the 2018 diagnoses). Do we know for sure that this husband with the drug problem actually exists? Like, are there people in her life today that knew this guy and know that this is a true story and vouch for her about this? I’m finding it harder and harder to believe anything this woman says.

Kate has said herself she knows nothing about cancer… she also laughed when her oncologist asked whether she would be an ambassador for the lung foundation.. she’d only do it if she were paid! Whether it was in jest or not, maybe her denial has helped her stay out of “cancer world” and convinced her she can beat the odds. (Kind of an insult to everyone else who bravely fought their cancer). They didn’t “lose” either, cancer’s been impossible to “cure” since we began to learn about it.
I still maintain Mexico does dodgy scans. The hope 4 cancer title is no accident - it basically just deals hope as a drug, drains people’s bank accounts and allows them to live in denial… then they come home, have proper scans or start to experience the inevitable symptoms of their terminal, incurable cancer.
Kate’s story has offered a lot of hope, and I don’t know whether she fully understands the ramifications of pushing unproven therapies on people, or shitting on western medicine… her poor daughter. I hope she’s made plans for her.

Leaving her child again and going back for a week of maintenance? What could they possibly be doing and how could one week of treatment have any real impact on her health? It just sounds like so much bullshit.

Here is the part that doesn’t make any sense to me when I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt and considering that everything she says might be true. She says she was at H4C for two months this last time. So she gave up precious time with her daughter at the end of her life to fly around the world to be constantly hooked up to tubes in every orifice and machines of one sort or another? For what, the chance of prolonging her life by 6 months but those 6 six months will be hooked up to tubes and machines at home, fighting a PTSD that she is actively perpetuating by being on this frantic treadmill of a life dominated by pursuing one quackery after another 24/7? What a shitty existence for the last days of your life. Imagine the trauma she is putting her daughter through as well, not only having to face her mum’s death at such a young age but living in this heightened state of desperation and mania forced onto this quackery treadmill with mum. More than anything, as someone who has also had to soberly face the reality of living with or dying from cancer, it’s the concept that she is clearly choosing quantity over quality and sacrificing precious time with her only child that just doesn’t add up for me.
