I had no clue until I saw the show advertised and was shocked I had never heard of her, I did some googling.

Shut the front gate! I’ve just had a huge aphifany! I was taught by Kate at the academy of makeup in Brisbane. Many years ago. I did not like her. She was blunt and snooty.

I am late to this party but I saw Kate mentioned in another thread and her story sounded familiar. I heard her on a podcast recently but I can’t for the life of me think of which one it was. I remember being really empathetic to her story at first then I ended up being really sceptical by the end. I was disappointed that there was no questioning of her condition and the “cure”.

I’ll go back and read from page 1 now.

I do love this thread. Its nice to find likeminded people who believe in actual science.
@GeorgieBox put it perfectly, its the first time something happened simultaneously (and also since the world has access to social media at the same time) it created this ridiculous scenario of anti science rhetoric which has now proved to be fatal.
But while people like Kate get rich we just off grifting we just have to hope that people start to believe in science again more widely.

It’s off topic sorry but I was reading yesterday about the RSV vaccination in the US and how it’s had such low take up for what sounds like a fantastic thing for the very young and elderly. Do you think we’d have a better take up here?

Do you think just sending them all of pablos stuff will catch their attention as the work is already done for them?
