Oh bloody hell Kat - read the room!
Private dinner at Scott’s, freebie clothes, cocktail rings and expensive cosmetics. This is no longer aspirational and escapist, it’s flaunting and morally repugnant right now.
I feel so uncomfortable seeing her trying on clothes in changing rooms and not wearing a mask pretending it’s like the good old days.

The posts in which she tries to justify buying yet more expensive dresses are hilarious. The amount of clothes she buys is obscene (and I say that as someone who loves clothes.) It’s like some sort of compulsion for her.
if she were actually - as she claims to be - a stylist (MY ARSE) she wouldn’t constantly need to buy new clothes. Real stylists - like Erica Davies - are able to offer style advice and pull looks together without constantly needing new stuff; and also provide style advice featuring clothes that they wouldn’t necessarily wear or which wouldn’t suit them. Kat is completely limited to “styling” herself. If it ain’t a maxi dress she’s got no idea.

Was it one of her poor children taking the photo?! I think she looks completely insane in some of them.
That ‘this photo is completely natural. I’ve no idea it’s being taken and I often just swirl around on the beach grinning inanely in billowing dresses’ is hilarious! I’d love to see it in action! 🤣
Yes, her son took the picture. I can tell you quite categorically that the photos are COMPLETELY staged. How she went from sitting on the beach, stony faced, scrolling through her phone one minute and then went to 'look at me, I'm so crazy and fun' in the next second was frankly quite alarming. About 20 pictures were taken all with various degrees of gurning/laughing and posing, all done like a model - really quickly, you know? Then she walked back to her chair on the beach, sat down, and resumed scrolling while her boys shivered in their towels. My daughter and I just looked at each other with raised eyebrows and laughed. Have seen her loads recently, wafting around in the marquee dresses, walking in to people as she is permanently scrolling. Stop banging on about Aldeburgh and spoiling my weekends there. Go back to Kent, hun.

DMBL40 is my secret, guilty pleasure, but her most recent ‘comparison is the thief of joy’ post is completely disingenuous.

Her whole business model depends on her followers comparing their lifestyle to her (extremely privileged, frequently gifted, event and holiday heavy) lifestyle, then buying products or services to try and attain her lifestyle.

Tone deaf, Kat.

It basically said that all her stories are fake, and that if she had ever lived in USA not just holidayed for 2 weeks then she would see what went on. She needed to do research. The funny bit was at the end when she ranted and said "and no your bum doesn't look good" and your not 40!

I’m trying to imagine how it feels to be one of the black women who is suddenly being tagged by every white woman with something to shill. I can’t possibly speak for them, but I can’t help thinking I’d be utterly fucking livid.
Me too, they have sat on advertising panels, chat panels, events, advertising dinners etc etc with every other middle class white mummy blogger on the circuit and said nothing about representation. Now they all tag all their ‘friends’. Utter bullshit.

If anyone actually buys cheese, or margarine, based on an AD from an influencer, they really need to take a step back from social media and take a good, long look at themselves. And as for whichever marketing team came up with this, please stop and donate the fee, and some free cheese, to a food bank.

Tbh, I'm sure Southwold is lovely, but it puts me off going when people like her bang on about it, bit like not wanting to buy the clothes they bang on about either. The green dress is very bizarre indeed, as are most of the clothes she wears, who the hell wears long flowy dresses to a beach!, she must stand out a mile, I for one would be thinking what a tit for wearing that to the beach if I saw her. If you look closely, most of her clothes are not ironed or look like they've come straight out of the packaging as there are fold marks! They all irritate me !!
I was actually there when she was on the beach in the green dress, there was so much fabric it nearly took off 😁

Oh here we go, she’s acquired the “anxiety” that afflicts most of Gleam’s signings 🙄
Kat Farmer gets nervous in crowds and had to leave the rugby club because of it. That’s Kat Farmer, attendee of London and Paris Fashion weeks, premier regular, frequent user of Gatwick airport and usually found traipsing the busy retail streets of London.

The fact that brands give free food to influencers in exchange for some naff gurning “ad” is the one thing that will make me NOT buy from a brand.
Same as when, back in October - when the FSM debate was raging - both she and Pascale were sent luxury cheese/charcuterie platters by a local business. Had that business been local to me, I’d have made sure never to support them based on that. I commented on the post at the time that I didn’t think it was a great look for a food business to be handing out free food to wealthy influencers in October 2020, and Kat deleted the comment 🤨

I really hope she’s not trying to set herself up as a foodie influencer. She doesn’t know the first thing about food.
She really is all money and no class.

Ok, just looked through her Instagram and since the end of August, she has promoted :-

The Landings St Lucia (#Adpressdiscount)
Destinogy Holidays (#Adpressdiscount)
Travel St Lucia (#Adpressdiscount)
Hush Homewear (paid partnership)
Laura Ashley (Ad)
Label Mix (paid partnership)
Marks and Spencer (paid partnership)
The White Company (paid partnership)
John Lewis (paid partnership)
Agnes B (press trip)
Roku gin (Ad)
Bicester Village (paid partnership)
WTV channel (Ad)
L’Oréal (Ad)
Debenhams (paid partnership)

And that’s not including all the mentions of the #gifted items, of which there are multiple per grid post, or the random taggings of the likes of Sky Atlantic or the numerous restaurants.

The woman is worse than Mrs Hinch. She’s a walking billboard 🤣

I loved her early style, when she stood by her landing mirror and took photos.
mango, Zara, primark... much better style and affordable.
Yes those were the days I loved her ... jeans nice blouses and little jackets. With her natural dark longer hair.

Fame hey and designers/clothing companies knocking on your door you end
up looking like a Grayson Perry.

I can’t help but feel if these issues truly mattered to them before last Tuesday they would have done something (just even one small thing) in the past to raise awareness. Now it seems like they are frantically trying to outdo each other to show who cares the most. It won’t be long before we’re back to hearing about their first world problems that epitomise wealthy white privilege.

It’s funny but the recent posts and stories have made me feel really sorry for her. Her life was once carribeean cruises and wearing needle & thread dresses in stately homes and I thought her wardrobe was amazing. Things must be really really hard now hence the Lidl wine tasting and amazon links for beard oil and gaming chairs. I know it’s not a death and there are worse things happening but to drop so dramatically from living quite the high life to hawking crap must be so so upsetting. It’s made me really soften towards her. She is definitely different - she seems so less glam so much more messy and disoriented and I just wonder if she really struggling with her mental health. Within her cadre of mumstagrammers she is the only one who constantly references the weird world of the pandemic and I think she is really suffering.
I can’t decide if ur serious or not about feeling sorry for her ! 😂
I don’t feel sorry for her, her husband is a high earner and I’m sure as a family their lifestyle hasn’t changed, remember they are also in the position to own a second home!

When will company’s such a Neptune understand that gifting £1000’s of furniture to wealthy influencers only cheapens the brand?

I want to spend my money with companies that really give back. Not gives free stuff to millionaires who are gifted free luxury goods day in day out.

Gifting furniture to hospices, refuges, community projects - that’s what aligns me to a company and what I want to support.

The thing is that it actually takes skill to put together a great looking outfit off the high street and unearth gems. Any fool can wear a well cut £300 dress and look good - that's what you're paying for with higher end items.

I have a gallery wall - everything is properly framed, all meaningful, collected over twenty years. As everything is my taste, it all sits beautifully together. Curated, even. 😉

It certainly doesn’t look like I sat down one day and thought, ‘I know. I need a gallery wall.’ Then threw a fuckton of money at it. 🙄

Are we really supposed to feel sorry for Influencers who are 'struggling' now that all the free brunches, lunches, cruises and pamper weekends have ended and they have to spend time working on producing their own content?

Boo-hoo.
It’s pathetic , isn’t it.
