I know TurtleBoy is pretty marmite to people following the case but did anyone see what he's posted from that affidavit about Kate Peters being compensated by Norfolk County to post about TurtleBoy & Karen Read and also being bought a couch by Jen McCabe. Jen McCabe also refusing to testify unless TurtleBoy's bail was revoked.
Seems like the wheels are starting to come off.

For me the other biggie is Johns phone never showing ANY activity after he had been dropped off by Karen - and those times match up.
I thought it showed on his apple watch he had walked 3 flights of stairs? There was also something about his phone being physically locked by someone at the time Karen was at home.

I’ll go back and re listen to that part to clarify it. If I recall it took her far longer to reach the other women’s house than it should have done, and showed her in the area of Fairview, possibly doing a drive by?

It did show activity of his step count after she dropped him off though. It was suggested this was him walking down the stairs into the basement and back up, then down again - then it stopped the count. Iirc.

eta @LondonCalling272 beat me to it.

He also has text messages which he is unable to share - unsure why and it may be to do with his own court case.

I agree he is a marmite person but he has done a few really good investigations - such as the 65ft reverse reconstruction outside of Fairview. he managed to hit 19mph in reverse as his best effort. He also hit the kerb as the road has a slight curve which is not really visible from photos.

Sorry I should have worded that better. There was no on purpose usage of his phone by him either a text/call etc. The Apple Health etc is wildly inaccurate so I’m not sure I’d rely on that 100% for data. Technology is scary though.

No worries - it’s great to bring these issues up as it makes for a good debate.

It will be interesting when we get to the phone and all it’s data, they even said they have the temperature of his phone and when it changed

I'm so glad to see a thread on this. I've wanted to talk with people - I tried yesterday to explain it to my husband but it IS so crazy and so much to get into. I don't have any idea what really happened (probably never will) and no idea if she is guilty or not. But, his body does not have the type of injuries you'd assume from a Lexus SUV (fairly large) hitting a man going 24 miles per hour in reverse. I also have no idea how you could get a car going 24 mph in reverse (on a small, curving type road) to launch his body 30 feet into the air. He has no injuries, no bruises, no broken bones where you would expect them to be if you were hit by a car. I just can't wrap my head around that.

Andrea Burkhart, a lawyer with a youtube channel, mentioned that she is a boxer and he has what looks to her boxing type wounds. Huge black eye, goose egg above the eye, droplets of blood on his shirt, shoes from a nose type bleed. Not much blood found even though he has a massive head wound on the back of his head. Bruising on his hands. There would have been a huge blood pool somewhere.

Anyway, I could go on and on, and I feel bad that John O'Keefe seems to get lost in all the noise.

Do you follow the live trial each day ? It started last week and is expected to last at least six.

There are plenty of US attorneys on YT who show it live and comment as it goes along or others who review the days proceedings later in the evening UK time which may be useful to you if you’re interested.

Yes, I love Emily D. Baker and Lawyer You Know. I watched the whole first trial.

I really wish Karen hadn't done those interviews. They aren't helping at all.

I just want the science and data on how he was hit and killed by a car. All this other stuff is just noise to me. She doesn't look that great, the other characters in this story don't look great, but show me how he was killed by a car.

Completely agree with everything you said!! Those are my go to streamers as well. I feel like they are the most unbiased ones out there, and even they are doubtful on why this case went to trial.

Just saw the whole thing of the affidavit, wow, I wonder if there will be side baaaah about this on Monday morning or it’ll be swept under the carpet.
I'm not as up to date on the Turtleboy sidequest, is Karen Peters the one who had the stay away order again him?

That’s Lindsey Gaetani, the restraining order was denied a couple of months back so I don’t think there’s any order still standing now but I don’t know so much about that side of things.

Wow 😲 It must be declared a mistrial surely? Auntie Bev has to go due to her ‘links’ to Morrissey - didn’t he ensure she got her job?

I am actually a bit gob smacked but not surprised - it only needed one person to be brave at the end of the day

I have a feeling that maybe the Feds ‘reappear’

What do you think?

The film (if and when) will be amazing as no one could write this stuff with so many twists and turns 🙂

I wonder if he could have been bent over and the car hit his arm/head. Would account for no lower body injuries I guess.

Her boyfriend was trying to split up with her? I haven't read much about it
It sounded that way in the texts. She seems like she is hard bloody work, she was on him constantly, even when he was saying he had to take the kids to the doctors and football practice, she was constantly asking him to go out and drink. It all sounded so juvenile.
