not really referring to her tan, the hair and lips too. i'm not saying she's intentionally blackfishing, literally just said i thought the video was a black girl. i'm also black lol, not that deep was just my opinion on what i'd seen🤷‍♀️

imo it was obvious what you meant and it’s not far fetched to say as even though you didn’t mention blackfishing, jordan has a long history with it

Jordan has a history of Blackfishing from her look to her mannerisms, speech cadence and phrases and I would not be surprised if a large portion of her followers thought she was mixed or part black. She obviously doesn’t look monoracially black, but she 100% tries to look part black and has done for years

Like you say she’s blackfished plenty of times but in this specific photo I think OP is just talking about her general appearance. She completely uses the black girl aesthetic, the nails/hair/makeup/fashion/filler, even the way she speaks

Assigning black women to a specific aesthetic is wrong. Can you explain to me the ‘black woman’ aesthetic without sounding racist …. Black women don’t have one aesthetic. If this is how you lot view us then WOW. Long nails isn’t a black thing, heavy makeup isn’t a black thing. They’re STEREOTYPICAL black things. Black women don’t speak a certain way jesus. We are trying to break the stereotypes people are placing on us. If you see or hear jordan and associate her w a black woman then you’re boxing black women in. Black girl aesthetic isn’t just one thing. WE don’t associate ourselves the way jordan presents herself
I know no one means harm but I’ve followed her for years n it’s starting to irk me how easily we label anything ‘black’. She just had tit style and a crusty tan. that photo especially she does not look ‘black’.

Blackfishing the term has ALOT of history and meaning behind it. Not for a girl who keeps her tan on too long, has migrated filler and decided she wants her nails to reach the door before she does. I’ve seen jordan in person quite a few times as well. She isn’t as orange weirdly but you can tell there’s layers to her makeup n not in a good way. Idk if she darkens her videos n pictures which would be a weird thing to do. Unless she likes the attention of everyone saying she black fishes

you’ve admitted yourself she’s had a concerning colour so not sure what the issue is

I’m not by any means associating black women with a certain look or stereotyping but I can also identify when white women adopt certain fashion tastes and styles that were popularised by black women. It is fact that “clean girl aesthetic” was adopted by black women way before it was white women and as a white person I try my best to give props where it’s due and recognise when white people appropiate other cultures or copy trends. I can understand how frustrating it must be for black people when white people start using a fashion taste stolen from them and give it a new name. With regards to the way she talks, again I am not trying to say there is a stereotypically black way of talking but it is fact that Jordan uses AAVE

I'm all for opinions so please feel free to drop yours as I'd just like to know what's so dislikeable about jordan coz so far I've seen the tan as blackfishing which I think is pretty much the same with Rachel leary, i just see it as a deep tan? 😅, but as someone not too familiar with jordan, what makes her a bad person?
