Seems to be kinda working for him though. His last three videos have performed better view wise than any of his videos from the last two weeks. The shirtless thumbnails, and being ‘tired of Disney’ seem to be the key for grabbing attention.
The relative success of the I’m Tired of Disney video appears to be more than offset by the performance of today’s video. Today’s thumbnail is shirtless, but overall it’s not a good image compared to other recent ones.
It’s funny how he has a number of physical features that would not normally be considered attractive, especially all in combination, but he’s a good example of how a person can use confidence and personality to create an illusion of attractiveness.

Whatever his personality is like, and however messily he conducts affairs of the heart, I think he's physically very attractive.
His video today was… interesting. You have to wait right until the end of the video to find out what the ‘problem’ with Disney vloggers is though.

I don’t entirely understand who Dan is or why he’s suddenly in the videos. He has the personality of an empty box of rocks.

I don't know why, but I always pictured Kyle and Jojo having like fifteen roommates, but I also live in New York City and forget that young guys don't need to do that everywhere.

I don’t know exactly who Dan is, but in some of Kyles early vlogs from 2017/18, there were like 5 or so of them living together, before he met JoJo I think. There was that awkward Edwards guy, Cam who actually has his own very small channel, and a couple others I don’t remember the name of.
And yet I still find him less irritating than JoJo.
Dan is JoJo’s best friend from college, the University of Scranton. If you look at JoJo’s Instagram and scroll through it to the college years, you’ll see pictures with Dan. They are both class of 2018. JoJo did one semester of graduate school in Fall, 2018, before moving to WDW in January, 2019, for the DCP. Dan stayed in Pennsylvania after graduation, but moved to Orlando area in October, 2019. His first appearance in the vlogs was in JoJo’s livestream of JoJo’s 23rd birthday celebration at Epcot, May, 2019. When Kyle and JoJo moved into their current apartment, in August, 2020, they brought in Dan as a third roommate. Dan got the main bedroom, with its own bathroom and Kyle and JoJo share a bathroom.

In the video where he talks about other vloggers with Dan, JoJo shows how he’ll never learn from any criticism. Through the prism of his “self-love” belief system, he chooses to interpret any criticism as “bullying”. He feels like he needs to always tell himself that what he is doing is fine and that he needs to deny the legitimacy of any “negativity”.
Kyle, on the other hand, is willing to accept criticism. For example, he makes it a point to show that he uses tongs now to pick up a cookie, after he was castigated so for not using them on the cruise ship. If it had happened to JoJo, he would say that it’s other people’s problem that they just don’t know how good his character is and how well-mannered he actually is and they don’t realize that he had spoken to the staff beforehand about it.
