If as she claims, she has never met him, she might just have said it that way as a general swipe at the way the media constantly speculate over celebrities. I’m inclined to believe her, to claim they aren’t dating and by lying is one thing…but to claim she has never met him and by lying is another…it would only take one photo or “source close to the star” to make her appear dishonest.
I think it’s media nonsense, they’ve been linked because they both know Tim Burton, there’s no other obvious reason for the link. Tim and JD haven’t worked together for years and there is no public information that they’ve been socialising within the timeframe he has filmed with Jenna, plus there’s no evidence that Jenna socialised even with Tim outside of work.
Unfortunately JD’s name is now such easy clickbait that this stuff can’t be prevented. If he responds to rumours they will just write more clickbait about his reply and make even more ad money from using his name…so unless it’s a really serious allegation the best way for the stories to go away naturally is to not comment at all. If he takes a newspaper to court for lying he has to prove they knew they were lying and prove the harm that it has done him…as there are too many papers and stories, many of which are only doing small damage at a time. It would cost millions and not achieve anything. He upset the media by suing The Sun, they reacted by using safety in numbers by all writing these type of gossip unfounded stories about him to make it clear they won’t allow him to stop them making money off his name or allow him to have control over what they write.
