I just started watching this girl! She has a very… interesting… looking face. My very first thought about her— I saw the French name, clicked on it, but she has a Spanish accent. What’s that about?lol has she ever disclosed why that is?

She was born in Mexico. Her mother is German and her father is Spanish. She was in Paris when she started her channel so she put Je Suis. It sounds more like she wanted the French aesthetic for her channel though, more views. She went to school in Mexico but travel a little.

Sounds like her dad was born in Spain and her mom was born in Germany. They separated when she was young. Sounds like her relationship with her mom isn’t good. She lived with her dad but I don’t think was great either but she was taken care of financially. Before she left for Spain, she mentioned her family wasn’t in Mexico anymore.

Ok but how gullible is she? I listend to her latest video about the Dior scandal and she's is surprised that it's supposed to be Dior of all brands since they show on their Social Media how their bags are made by artisans etc.??? Did I expect them to really be so dumb to produce in sweatshops? Tbh, nope. More like a Mercedes factory. Working conditions depend a bit on the country they are producing in. If you happen to work at Stuttgart, the factory isn't insta ready but also not a dirty hole plus you get a quite decent salary, though it doesn't allow you to buy a new Mercedes every two years aka the brands still make a huge profit to put into their management/owners and ads. But to think that these Insta reels showed the real working conditions of Dior employees is beyond funny. We're at a point where designer fashion became luxury fast fashion to appease the market and the only authentic handmade designer fashion is haute couture. Anything else is off the rack. Depending on the brand and item it's significantly better made than anything real fast fashion though. More or less... like a Mercedes. Who produce in China as well...

She's Mexican, not a secret at all, is just that ever since her channel's creation it was clear not *many* Mexican girls would follow her content so it was a no brainer to create content for English-speaking markets.

Her lifestyle, in Mexican standards, it's absolutely insane. Can't put more emphasis on how impossible it is to afford even 1 or 2 bags in Mexico for a middle class folk. That's how I landed on this Tattle thread, as a fellow third-world country gal into luxury myself, I see trough the BS immediately.

I just watched her travel blog in France, part 1. I really enjoyed her outfits in this vlog. She looks like she’s slimmed out a bit since her wedding. I wonder if it’s a combo of the post-wedding stress or being more active during the summer months. It could also be that she’s maturing and losing some baby large. Polo also looked a third of his usual size in a few vlogs before the wedding. Whatever they’re doing, they look great.

Does anyone know what Polo does for work? I’m just curious how he can travel with Lucia so often on a weekday.

Apologies for going off topic ... but does anyone watch Bonjour Aika. She isa luxury Youtuber from Tajikistan (half Tajik, half Ukrainian) living in Geneva. Insanely wealthy. Married to a Tajik. Mega mega bucks.
She was on holiday recently - I think in Spain, in a very touristy area - bought her daughter 2 stuffed toys from a toy shop, went back to her hotel, googled the price of the toys and was soooo ANGRY one of the toy she bought was 15 or 20 euros over the normal price (at home).
Okay, for us normal plebs, I would be annoyed, don't get me wrong. but this girl is mega wealthy and spends insane amounts of money on luxury goods on a weekly basis.
For her birthday a few weeks ago, her hubby gifted her a no limit shopping trip at Chanel.

Oh the complaining about the 15 euros she overspent .... she went on and on and on about it, all whilst wearing an outfit worth over 60 000 euros (clothing, shoes, handbag, sunglasses, luxury watch, 6 or 7 designer bracelets on each wrist, earrings, rings & necklace).
So, the next day Aika marched back to the toy shop to argue with the sales assistant, demanded her money back - they only do exchanges, and then threatened to phone the police on the assistant.

I'm sorry but if you're that insanely wealthy the principle of overspending by 15 euros is not worth the effort of getting chaffeur-driven back to the shopping centre, fuming all night and the next day about it, then spending another 10 or 20 euros on petrol driving there and back, spoiling a day out of your holiday by fighting with someone for 15 euros and then crying in the car back to the hotel because you had to threaten the police on someone. All whilst vlogging this. You're in a very touristy area during high holiday season, higher prices are, most of the time, the norm.
Am I overthinking this ? I wish there was a Tattle thread for Bonjour Aika.

If she had been saying this for years, I’d agree. She just started using this term this Spring or Summer. She’s never said it before. I’ve noticed she’s trying to use instahun terms over the past two years and it sounds so unnatural. That’s not her vibe. She doesn’t have the natural energy and vibe as the influencers she wants to emulate. Her aesthetic of old money isn’t cat.
