I wonder if she used her hair dryer from her hospital bag 🤣

Seriously: hope she’s okay, birth doesn’t always go the way we want it to and she seemed to have high expectations on what she wanted!

Tbh I'm not totally surprised she showed his face. I think she was really hoping to make the shift into 'mommy vlogger' which is hard to do when you don't show your kids face.

Who wears jeans on the ride home from giving birth 😳

I guess maybe they were maternity ones but I could think of nothing worse 🤣

though it’s confusing, one tiktok they’re driving home and she’s wearing jeans and another they’re bringing him in the house for the first time and she’s wearing a comfy lounge set

I bet money that in the same way as she did a full face of makeup for labor and packed a hairdryer in her hospital bag, that she only packed jeans as her going home outfit for herself.

Then when she got home after the car ride home regretting wearing jeans, she changed into a comfy outfit while Nick set up the camera to film their "coming home" tiktok.

I’ve just watched her 40 hours in labour vlog, happy she had a healthy baby and all went as well as a birth can be but just felt slighty sad she made it all sound like it was her first pregnancy her first labour, where she says she wanted to a be a mum since she was 12 and now it’s happening, it’s like her first son just can’t be mentioned. I realise it’s a touchy subject, but she gave birth to him he made her a mum.

it is a little strange isn’t it :(

could just be for the content/cameras to avoid questions which is fair

I get why she wouldn’t want to speak about before, it’s traumatic and maybe just keeps that between her and Nick

But the vlog just ending in the car???

If she never wants to talk about that time in her life online, that is fine. I imagine they have spoken privately but she doesn’t need to share her trauma with anyone.

The ending of the vlog was super abrupt but overall it was interesting to see how much she’s included so far. Bless her having such a long labour!

Tbh, when she was first doing vlogs etc after their loss I was surprised she was carrying on like it never happened. But on reflection, if she is making these videos for them and for the baby when they are older, I think it’s perfectly reasonable that she might not want to mention the trauma. I’m sure she and Nick have been working through it privately and she obviously decided she doesn’t want to talk about it publicly any more.

She was filming whilst labouring. Why do people expect her to be mentioning her previous loss - especially in those moments??

I feel like an idiot for sitting through a "40 hours in labour!!" vlog and expecting there might be a baby at the end of it... I forgot it was Jazzy I was watching 😅 she does love an abrupt ending 🙄

Apart from the clip of her trying to apply a full face of make-up whilst having a bad contraction, I thought it was a really mature, raw and insightful vlog. Being "in labour" is such a vague process that's so different for everyone and I found it really interesting to see the stages she was going through.

I watched the vlog. She said the one outfit with jeans was the only one that fit her.

This is a really sensitive subject and I'm not looking to argue, but while I agree Jasmine doesn't owe anyone anything and she has every right to grieve however she sees fit, it doesn't sit right with me that she's outright dishonest.

She has packed a hospital bag before, she knows what labour is like, she's given birth to a son before. She doesn't have to mention her first baby at all, but IMO she shouldn't pointedly word things as the firsts when they're not.

‘First time’ doing X is likely to gain more views

just like how a lot of influencers still call their fiance ‘boyfriend’ in the titles of videos

I do think it’s probably not mentioned because they don’t want to be questioned, which is fair. And another point someone mentioned is if they/their son look back on these videos years down the line they probably don’t want something so painful being mentioned.

It’s all for the views and cameras

Really happy for them! I do remember when she lost her first baby and made a video (since deleted) about it, she specifically said that she wanted to share because she wanted to acknowledge her experience and not pretend like it never happened. So I get all of the comments here about acting like it’s her first.

She has repeatedly said that she views this as a business, which is fair. She never replies (or even hearts) to YouTube comments from her audience, she will only reply to friends ie sophdoeslife. I don’t think she really cares about her audience at all, which is fine I just find it a bit sad that so many people have wished her well and been so excited for her and she can’t be bothered to reply to anything or even heart it. She hardly ever posts and that’s been a pattern for years so I wonder what she actually does day-to-day as Nick cooks a lot for them. She does come across as having an extremely privileged life and never really experienced any hardships

She was 22 weeks. She didn’t pack a hospital bag in the same way as well as didn’t know what labour was like and didn’t give birth in the same way so this was her first time for those things. It would be weird for her to title everything as the second time as otherwise everyone would start to ask where her first baby was that is new to her account in the last few years.

She’s really lazy so will be interesting to see how she copes when Nick goes back to work

I have only started watching her since pregnancy but she could have a job alongside youtube could she not? Has she ever done meet and greets or anything to engage with her audience?
Whether she's privileged or not it doesn't really matter, she has still experienced one of the most heart wrenching things that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. I don't blame her for wanting to avoid mentioning her first baby, she obviously wants to keep his memory private.

I am glad someone has finally said something sensible in relation to her first pregnancy

Did she pack one before? It was quite an early loss at around 22 weeks I believe. And it won’t really have been a proper labour & the trauma of having to give birth to a still born would certainly cloud her memories. Who knows her ‘first’ could have just came? No labour but a spontaneous miscarriage. We don’t know, so don’t judge.
