I didn't even know he had siblings
In his book, he’s the middle one of three boys. His older brother was diagnosed with ‘differently presenting’ (Jase’s description) autism when Jason was very young (ie a couple of years before his own diagnosis/‘diagnosis’), and his younger brother was a ‘prodigy’ because he could read and write at 4. Both have done well education/career-wise, the older in education, the younger in healthcare.
Book tales of Jason’s one to one interaction with his older bro are pretty much limited to him having to take Jason to/from secondary school to make sure he got on the right bus (the 77). There’s nothing as an adult.
The younger one is a convenient supporting character as an adult a couple of times, always where they eat junk food and have convenient plot-advancing conversations while performing DIY tasks at Giff’s house. Eg when Jason was 27, bro encouraging him to write down where they wanted to be in ten years and when Jase wrote down that he wanted to be an Oxbridge professor, bro telling him “if anybody can do it you can, you operate on a higher plane to the rest of us” or some similar you’re so special and unique and amazing bollox not rooted in anything factual/with any basis in reality whatsoever.

Joe Arday does appear to be a high flyer - good qualifications, loads of teaching experience, some campaigning, a few awards. (And I’m going to assume it’s all true). I wonder if Jason was in part motivated by feeling he had to compete?
Well, as this one’s not even a verified review, that indicates they might not even have bought it, let alone read it.
His younger bro too-he’s nursing lead in his field for a big NHS trust, so this seems likely, especially in a family with a parent who was ‘extremely learned’ before she’d even started her first degree, let alone by the time she’d been awarded ‘five degrees’.
MBCS FCCT FRSA are probably quite a fair bit to deal with, even on a sibling rivalry basis but come on now.

You type in his name and it's everywhere that he has a profile. Working in AI though 
There was a meeting in work (a London Council) about JA and he was presented as a black Jesus who died for the sins of a racist society. There was a lot of anger, sadness and pessimism "we will always live amongst racists" etc. I didn't share their views and said nothing. The true story (which I am learning about here) is far more complex but many people would view you as racist for just bringing up the awkward facts of the case - so you just say nothing.

I think this is the only thread for Arday, since he wasn’t relevant before this happened.
I think they're being quite sensible. Nothing good will come of making themselves into public figures. However much one or more of them might have propped up or encouraged his delusions, he was an adult, capable of making his own decisions.
Some of his family members (I suspect not all) had possibly had quite enough with Jason's lying, exaggerating and constant special treatment in life.
I can imagine having a family member who is a compulsive fantasist would be pretty difficult to deal with. It’s bad enough when it’s just someone you know as a colleague or schoolfriend - and in the case of the people I’ve known who had this tendency, people just tend to avoid them eventually because it’s just too exhausting to deal with. The family connection makes it much more complicated.
They would know for sure whether certain aspects of his story were true. For example, they’d definitely be able to confirm whether he was completely non-verbal as a child, or illiterate until age 18. My own feeling is that, if they felt he had been unfairly maligned and they could rebut some of this, they would want to say something (it could just be a written statement, they wouldn’t have to put themselves in the public eye). But they haven’t. The statements they have put out are quite carefully worded in terms of what they are *not* saying.
But whatever the truth of the matter, I can understand why they’d want to keep out of the public eye.
The brothers seem to have good careers of their own. I can understand wanting to protect that, especially if they have their own families as well.
JA is so similar to Jack Monroe. I can imagine her family having given up on trying to get her on better speaking terms with the truth, and just letting her get on with it.
