What exactly have I said for you to accuse me of having "a tribalist mind" just for asking for your take on Cofnas? I was broadly in agreement with your post up until that sentence.

Come on!! Off the back of the first paragraph where you object to my assertion that Diane Abbott is opressing black people by encouraging them to think they are in the dungeons, then leaping to Cofnas, asking me to offer an explanation on his behalf. Sounded pretty loaded to me.
I have no idea what his motivation was. He refers to himself as a race realist, which I said on here yesterday - is a new one on me. I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean. I don’t care what he thinks. For me, the plagiarism aspect of the story was not what drew me in. What did was Cambridge university’s recklessness hiring him without being thorough - apparently Cofnas put his PHD thesis into a programme to scan it for plagiarism. If it were THAT easy, why didn’t Cambridge do the same??! That and the outrageous stories that were coming out in this memoir. I said all this upthread if you want to double check if i’m being evasive.

He must have lost the detailed “The Roadmap” notebook Sandro suggested he keep, because in every single talk/interview I’ve seen online (and his utter dirge of a bleeping book), his almost-exclusive focus is on his childhood and adolescence (and films, music, tailoring, snooker, football and his quirky expertise in all the above) while in videos he incessantly ummms and incessantly says “it’s really interesting…” while telling embellished yarns about his own life story (and in the book as written and which as it’s published/about to be published he presumably signed off, it’s clear he finds himself utterly bleeping fascinating/the ghostwriter couldn’t get any sort of anything out of him/couldn’t abide him and gave up, or all those things)

Truly, the only “Roadmap” he provides to ‘support other Black and ethnic minority academics’ to follow in his footsteps is a literal one where they have at their disposal thanks to this rit ill-advised (appallingly ill-advised actually) book is every single detail of every single bleeping bus and train journey that occurred in 270 pages and 37 years.

I have a visceral reaction to people that make a living out of telling a demographic that they are permanently oppressed, especially if they never actually create a better system to raise them up.

As each year passes they tell you things are getting worse.
Yet they seem to be making a decent living by apparently representing your oppression.

Merchants of misery the lot of them, they don’t want to improve anything, they just want to be adored while they duck you over.

Ok, so it's down to your reactions to my questions rather than to anything you believe I accused you of? Sounds "pretty loaded" to me too!

I queried your assertion that DA is more responsible for the oppression of black people than anyone else and then I edited to ASK your take on Cofnas (which is not "leaping" by any stretch).

So why are you accusing me of having a "tribalist mind" when we're largely in agreement on much of this situation???
