Any more word on how Yaz is doing? I wonder if Jake’s family will have a lot of red tape to get through to bring him back to the U.K? Whatever he did in his life, his family must be devastated with all the details out there on how he died. They will have to live with those descriptions and images forever.
As someone who lost a family member in an RTA I would hate to see footage of my loved one when she passed away at the scene due to a drink/drugs driver in another vehicle.
Please stop sharing it. In the UK crime scene investigators photograph & collect evidence & the press aren’t allowed to photograph the accident scene. It’s harrowing enough to hear the injuries they sustained from the coroner & in court if it gets to that (it did in our case) without hearing people speculate. Other countries are different in the way they allow things to be filmed/photographed but if his poor family have seen the footage it will be something they will never get out of their heads & will be awful for them.
I hope Yas will recover from this & that dge receives the support she will need do terribly after going through this.

Exactly, I think I was probably a little too emotional when I made my previous point, however my husband lost his best friend in an horrific RTA during which he sustained horrific injuries which they say, killed him instantly. This case went to court as well, and as you mention, it was incredibly difficult for the family to hear the injuries that he sustained.

Agreed, let him have some dignity. Whoever mentioned crime shows, consent is always sought from families where possible before using that footage - his family cannot and I doubt would not consent to having the pictures/videos of him plastered everywhere. Sorry I really think its inappropriate.

I can’t even imagine how truly horrific that would’ve been for Yaz. Say what you like about their relationship and the rights and wrongs of going back with him (I know first hand how hard it is to extricate yourself from an abusive relationship when there’s still feelings there), she obviously cared about him and seeing him die in such a traumatic way right in front of her… well, I can’t imagine that the emotional scars that would leave would ever really fade.
