I think my patience wore out when she wrote in the Guardian about how amazing a sober life was, having given up booze for a whole week. Stopping problem drinking, clearly, is a great thing to do and I hope she's kept it up and her life has improved from it. But to become the face of sobriety after one week was too much for me.
She just did another article in the Guardian. I think it’s been a year now. She has fallen off the wagon a few times though.

Once you look beyond the image she projects it's not that surprising she doesn't declare affiliate links and goes out of her way to mislead that she isn't getting paid for them.

She's breaking both Amazon's and UK rules.

If you rate the recipes, that's because she only stole the best ones from blogs.
I’ve never understood how someone becomes eligible for affiliate links.

Just read the Rachel Roddy recipes and they look fantastic, and I have most of the ingredients without having to go to the shops. I'd watch a food programme she presented any time.
same! I do not know why she hasn't been offered one (or maybe she doesn't want one) but her writing style is great and her recipes are always good

Says in the files she was nearly struck off the register. It was then retracted end of Feb as they were shown reason as to why she shouldn't be struck off... 🤔
I also spotted this when nosing st the companies house page! Can anyone explain what this means, and hypothesise any reasons why she might be struck off?! 🤔

Sick & tired of hearing her go on about all this free work so went to companies house beta, shockingly she's never posted accounts (they're overdue)?? She only registered the company in 2018, I feel like she's been around for years & years though?

Link for anyone that's interested, there's nothing there: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11259997

No, she’s in Essex. Southend environs. Her partner, Mrs. B as she calls her is Louisa Compton who is something at Channel 4. She’s on Twitter too.

I mean, I'm going to guess that at least one of them owns that house (as she'd have plenty of complaints about any landlord she had?) so I'd assume they at the very least have building's insurance as most lenders ask for it? & at that point it's only a bit extra for contents, most people's policies are £15-20 a month? We've had to insure quite a few high ticket items under our policy and that's 'only' £37 a month which for the cover we get inside & outside the house is fucking incredible really.

I just find her portrayal of poverty so weird, I have CPTSD from growing up in poverty with MH parents and I prize financial security (insurances, reliable income, savings) and am a chronic ppl pleaser as a result, I find her really antagonistic and the complete opposite of that which makes it hard for me to believe her. I feel bad saying that but nothing adds up with her, it's so odd...
totally agree.. can i ask what cptsd and mh are? (sorry to be that person but google came up with just random company references lol)

She’s so entitled!! I couldn’t work out who she was referring to but all of her followers have piled on and are now slagging off jamie Oliver in the comments. I don’t particularly care for Jamie Oliver but seems really spiteful of her to do this
“Niche genre” ok 🙄

I am currently uploading the "wartime kitchen and garden" from the 80's to my youtube. It is a lovely show, that is a 6 parter from the BBC about how people did rationing, cooking and growing during WW2. I downloaded it years ago but it has never been released on dvd or digital by BBC. If you want to watch it just DM me and I'll link you as I'm not making it public, not that I do anything on my youtube anyway.
I love it as it reminds me of my late Dad who always was a proper gardener, although he was only about 8 at the end of the war.
The stuff they cooked during rationing was real food and not fucking spaghetti hoops and coconut milk mixed together. Chucking random tins together is not a recipe like fucking Jack thinks.
That sounds interesting. Did you see The 1940s House which came out late 90s, I think? There was an exhibition at the Imperial War Museum too.

I stopped watching Saturday Kitchen when Tebbutt fronted it; dickhead.

😁😁 I’m watching that show April 13th 😁😁😁😁😁 and I hope her tin of chicken soup comes home to roost.
Lol what’s wrong with Matt?! Slightly arrogant I guess but don’t think he’s too bad?

Intrigued to see how this show pans out!

My house has 2 floors but is classed as a dormer bungalow, it's almost as if bungalow is the chic home at the moment. Probably a dormer bungalow, but she conveniently dropped the dormer part
I think you're right. My dream home is a proper mid-century bungalow, much to my husband's dismay

She has been given a column in metro.co.uk starting today, she should be pleased but no, first thing she does is have a dig at Jamie Oliver for using capers in his television show, then goes on to use them herself in her 'recipe' (mashed up sardines on toast). She really comes across as spiteful and unpleasant, why is any media outlet giving her airtime?
She’s happy to drag DMG Media until they put cash in her pocket, I see.

From what I can gather, she was purchasing the testosterone privately whilst awaiting her first appointment. I don't know whether she attended her appointment, will have time to research tomorrow.
