Carrots are also good roasted. The padded out tomato sauce was such a good idea. I kept thinking 'well I do that already' but I don't actually - it was just so utterly sensible I thought I did (if that makes sense).
(For anyone that didn't see it he roasted any elderly veg he had lying around - peppers, onions, garlic etc even Jack's dead celery would do - then tipped in a tin of tomatoes and seasoned it and cooked for a few more minutes. Then mashed it up lightly or used a hand blender, or could just use it as it was which I will do. When cool then divide up into freezer bags for portion size and freeze, or I suppose you could use jars and put in the fridge. Add then to stews, pasta or anything really. Also did that thing of rinsing the tin with a bit of water to get every last bit and pad out the sauce further).
As you said he was just quite an inspiration. Jack's stuff just all looks vaguely depressing and food to keep you alive rather than be actually enjoyable. Sort of like my Mum would say - 'if it tastes horrible it's doing you good' (She could use that for her new book title).
I confess I'm not au fait with how companies house works. Though I would imagine it's to do with late accounts. I'm more intrigued as to what reasoning they accepted from her to retract their notice to strike her off! Wonder what pity story she gaveI also spotted this when nosing st the companies house page! Can anyone explain what this means, and hypothesise any reasons why she might be struck off?!![]()
If she does, she wouldn't let that onexactly, does she live in a mansion??
Not Grub on a Grant and Peckish But Poor by Cas Clarke? Loads of people had those when I was at uni, I loved the cartoons.I was a student from 1991-94 and had a "cookery book" that was all about using cans and cheap store cupboard ingredients to make meals. I was initially intrigued by her concept but frankly I think her recipes are awful and taste of despair. I feed my family cheaply but well because it is what working class women and peasant women have done since time began.
yeh I think nowadays (maybe except for comedians on panel shows etc) anyone who wants to present needs to start om youtube, why would they hire an inexperienced presenter instead of one who needs little direction (and that is before looking st her Twitter which would inev be publicised if she became more famous)This is the issue I have with Jack, they never follow through with anything. Remember when they were going to stand to be an MP?
I know some people find Joe Wicks annoying but at least he’s actually done something? Why can’t Jack do what Joe has done? He’s gone out and bought any professional lighting he needs and is doing it in his living room and will probably get a TV show off the back of it. What is stopping Jack from doing that in the kitchen?
Did anyone else see on the day the brexit vote was done, Jack said they spoiled their vote? This never gets mentioned any more.
Accounts were due by 16th December 2019 and weren't filed, that will have automatically triggered the notice of compulsory strike-off. Her accountants have then got in touch with Companies House and gone, 'Really sorry, we're doing them, we'll file them shortly,' and got it overturned.I also spotted this when nosing st the companies house page! or she will just google "obscure medical conditions" and pick one at random so it is more difficult to argue with as people won't be familiar with itHuh, I think she’s going to go full Munchie. We’ve already had the severe arthritis and walking stick, but the allergies are taking her into Jameela Jamil territory.
Let me know if she claims chronic fatigue syndrome, or Ehler Dankos syndrome, or POTS, or fibromyalgia, or lupus, or Lyme disease. Munchies love those![]()
that sounds DELICIOUS!I picked some wild garlic today and made pesto from some sunflower seeds.
Who would honestly take an 8 year old child to an abattoir? Did this actually happen? Do they do guided tours?Making an eight year old buy food with their own money because it’s not vegan? And then making them handle raw meat to teach them some sort of weird lesson? Fucking hell.
Oh how pettyInventor![]()
