Yep, see she just has to always draw attention doesn’t she ? Just have some decorum and let it go. She is a nutter.
Surely TV production execs will see her behaviour now as even more of a reason to believe they made the right choice? She's essentially goaded followers to give That Man grief... bullying, pure and simple.

Still forgetting to # Be Kind I see. Nasty. Especially considering we are all suffering the effects of the pandemic! Jack needs to get a grip.

Edit: Tweet now gone.
That screenshot prompted me to look at his Instagram post. Didn't realise it's a 5 times a week show starting Monday. She's admitted how long it takes for her to do 6 minutes on This Morning, of course they're going to pick the pro who has presented for years. I would prefer a more diverse casting for the job (most telly chefs are white men) but given the turnaround picking the person they can drop in at short notice makes sense.

Isn't that one of the things Katie Hopkins would do to her? She didn't seem to like it very much then...

Like him or loathe him (and I really loathe him) Oliver is popular. Jack is a bleeping bandwagon jumping head who would jump on the newest most popular hashtag for a quid or two. I wish she'd duck off and shut up

I'm tempted to watch Jamie on it next week to boost the ratings. Surely he will tell the production team who sent abuse his way. Yes he has been smug in the past etc but all he has done is accept a job.

I work in the town where she lives! Going to look out for her now and see if she is carrying Iceland bags or Waitrose bags, then we will know the truth 😂

I'll admit to liking a lot of Jack's recipes, but I don't really like her as a person. This latest drama really won't be doing her professional image a lot of good either.

I was thinking this too! I would never employ someone so jealous and entitled. This is not a way to behave and get yourself noticed. Honestly it’s disgusting. I’m no Jamie Oliver fan but at the rate channel 4 turned this around can you blame them for drafting in a safe well known name to front the show?

Yeah and it is part of his brand too. Jamie Oliver has a decade’s long relationship with channel 4 and promoting healthy and affordable eating on there, it makes sense.

Every time I log on to twitter I seem to see a tweet from jack. And I have my timeline ordered chronologically. Not only that I swear I’ve unfollowed her about 7 times yet somehow she’s always still there
(Conspiracy theory ....?!😉)

Jack wasn’t the first to invent the brand of cooking she does, she even admitted adapting others recipes including Jamie Oliver’s, I understand people like her work and it’s admirable to a degree but she is absolutely insufferable and why I’m not even a big fan of Jamie Oliver he an established and well known chef with a long working history with Channel 4, she admit herself she struggles on TV and throwing herself into a quickly put together TV show is disastrous, it just reeks of desperation and Why she may be suffering financial atm taking funds off people who probably can’t afford it because she made bad money decisions is just low.

I feel like Jack is all 'woe is me'. I know she's a person who came from extremely little and did well for herself. Her niche and her work is admirable. But come on, not everything is all about Jack, surely? I don't like JO any more than the next person but he has a long standing relationship with Channel 4, has done similar budget meals in the past and is highly experienced on TV. Is she just upset that they passed her over for an offer so she could turn them down or something? Like other posters have said, she's said she's not the best on tv and the way you conduct yourself on social media has a massive impact.

They're also trying to market this to the widest audience possible due to the pandemic and the possibility of food shortages. Jack isn't a household name to most, especially those new to cooking on a poor persons budget. Jamie is a household name to everyone, a lot of people trust him and trust that what he says is good advice and people know he can cook. Instant ratings + helping people in the community live on tins and not stockpile = best choice for Channel 4. Yet all Jack can do is whine and call him 'That Man'. You've got the balls to indirectly slate him and C4's decision, you can bloody well have the balls to name the network and chef by name.

If anyone should present the show it should be Delia Smith - she did a book and cookery show 15-20 years ago about cooking on a budget and making things simple - used lots of tins and frozen food etc
Also she’s a legend and very reassuring - she’s who needs to help the nation now
Jack copied her. Jack needs to stop having hissy fits.

Jack has a very distinctive, and to many people, off putting and unpleasant, appearance and demeanour. She is much more a niche interest than Jamie Oliver and often in difficult times people want pleasant and calm and cheerful familiar faces. I don't actually like Jamie and have no tv so I wont be watching, but I'd far rather see him than her, sorry not sorry.

Another theory about this whole cooking show; Jamie Oliver has a huge kitchen in his house and knows how to present cooking shows. He won’t need much direction and they need some one really experienced. So they can probably film with minimum crew, I imagine they could probably even set up cameras and he does it himself?

He also appeals to a find range of people, everybody isn’t suddenly just eating from tins. There will be people who normally eat out that are cooking at home.

If she is so desperate to hel, like really help and not just make money from this situation, then she should simply use her tins and receipts and get on you tube without all the twitter ranting.

She can't do that because a) she's apparently too "timid" to make YouTube videos and b) she needs a billion hours to prep for a five minute slot on TV which she is magically not too timid for, and c) she already works 20 hours a day and has broken her own back by doing so

Also she is quite difficult to watch and listen to. I find she makes me nervous.

Yes, she makes me feel the way I do when one if my sisters is cooking for us - I have to sit on my hands to stop myself taking over because she looks like she's on the verge of screaming and stabbing herself the whole time. With cooking shows I like to relax and enjoy them not feel wound up and on edge.
