I done a screen recording but sadly it’s too big to share.
On BBC Food, Jack has 46 published recipes. 24 of them are different flavoured flapjacks.
There’s:
• Yummy golden syrup flapjacks
• raspberry honey flapjacks
• easy honey flapjacks
• vegan flapjacks
• feel good flapjacks
• vegan flapjacks
• sticky plum flapjacks
• cheese and chive flapjacks
• chocolate orange flapjacks
• macadamia and blueberry flapjacks
• apricot, honey and pistachio flapjacks
• lemon drizzle flapjacks
• cranberry, pumpkin seed and caramel flapjacks
• healthier flapjacks
• cinnamon flapjacks
• coffee and walnut flapjacks
• healthy flapjacks (haven’t checked the difference between these and the healthier flapjacks)
• chocolate and caramel flapjacks
• chocolate orange and walnut flapjacks
• ginger flapjacks
• cherry and coconut flapjacks
• Rudolph’s carrot flapjacks
• fruity gluten free flapjacks
• chocolate flapjacks
It's been so long since I popped in here (new job, son got married - I wore a hat!!) but I'm disgusted by the idea of cheese and chive flapjacks. I'm sure someone somewhere would do them nicely, but I can't imagine how she's going to get the flapjack texture without golden syrup. In addition to cheese and chive?

" I also have a hugely ranging musical taste, really old blues through rap, metal, folk, emo, techno, ambient and into classical cello, with loads of other stuff in between. Pretty much just dislike Freeform jazz and most r’n’b. "
Exactly this! And noww I have to check out George Ezra to make sure ...

She is a classic example of confidence over ability in pretty much everything

The Daily Kitchen "recipes" that Jack created on Daily Kitchen Live, are underneath the pic on the BBC website

The corned beef chilli... A tin of corned beef, or any other tinned meat, grated.
Wha? I can only think of Spam.

never mind all herbs being interchangeable, literally all ingredients seem interchangeable here. Nonsense.

Quoting myself like a wanker to say when I searched Jack Monroe, I think BBC actually brought up every recipe with Jack in the name. 🤣🫣
I’m sorry! I don’t think the 24 flapjack variations are hers even though they all sound like they could be.

the thing that made me realise there was no way the recipes were hers was because there was one for rack of lamb. Even that wasn’t enough to make it click. I went as far as to google variations of the lamb rack recipe to see where she’d copied it from.
It was when I read the method and it said heat oil in the pan before adding anything. That’s when the penny dropped.

sorry fraus. I’m a gob.

please let me make it up to you with a bowl of sardines max SARDINESCA (a word so ducked up, the spellcheck changes it every time).

Followed by some spicy pub nuts which are no way copied from Nigella’s bar nuts…

Who even bothers making flapjacks unless it’s the night before a school bake sale and you forgot to buy proper ingredients?

I can only see 21 - I fear your search is contaminated by jack flaps.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/search?chefs=jack_monroe

One of these in the infamous DKL horse gunk lasagne, but with an actually coherent method for the white sauce, rather than just blending it and bunging it in the oven faster than Shergar's jizz: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/jack_monroes_veggie_49970

Slightly Younger Harold likes them, and has made them a few times in the past. He also buys them, he eats them for breakfast on the way to work about 4x a week. Your average person though, virtually never.

I hate flapjacks.

And I hate .. rocky road... Or tiffin or whatever it's called when you tip the crumbs and mouldy biscuits from the bottom of the biscuit tin into melted chocolate, dried fruit and hard ends of cake*

*This appears to be the recipe one of my colleagues follows

I had the album, it was secondhand but still had the cardboard board game inside. I also have a hugely ranging musical taste, really old blues through rap, metal, folk, emo, techno, ambient and into classical cello, with loads of other stuff in between. Pretty much just dislike Freeform jazz and most r’n’b. And George Ezra. He can go duck himself, his music is so annoying. Whatever that genre is, that’s a no from me.

staying on topic, what do you think a Christmas ad with guest in would go like?
BIB. I feel seen.

Red wine and strong black tea are interchangeable? Is this something she learned at one of the dozen AA meetings she attends every week?
She’s always obsessed with the “substitute red wine with black tea” thing. She really went on about it a lot, even before sobriety. It’s one of her “listen to this amazing tip” cold takes. What’s that Jack? Dark Chocolate in chilli? Well I never?! Meringues made of aquafaba? You’re having me on! Where do people get these kerazy ideas!

Well, this has tempo, focus, and words which actually mean what you think they mean, so it's already about 1,000,000,000 times better than anything Jack has brain farted into the universe.
Aww shucks, why thank you

But don’t encourage me. I’m only two ‘likes’ away from starting a blog and posting pictures of my cleavage.

Ninnies, look what the Southend panto is this year. Who better to play the lead role than a smol gender-fluid pixie who is misunderstood by all except those who believe, and who flies high in the ❄?

Mackie is a moron!

The Co-op little ones in a clear box are lush
The coop flapjacks are very moorish. Like crack.
Run away, don't look back!
Leave the little brown boxes of joy, otherwise you'll be copulating on a corkboard with a boy.
Butterfly walk on by, libel case closed. Many photos posed.
Measures of inflation, state of the nation.
Question time filler, animal killer.
Wanted to marry Harold, go double-barrelled.
Adrian says to be quiet. On a slop diet.
I will end here, feeling austere.

I know I'm probably pissing in the wind, so I'll set the bar lower than good at.
Has she ever to anybodies knowledge been competent at anything ? I can't think of one thing that isn't just getting away with this tit for a lifetime.
Cooking x
Television x
Writing x
The list goes on and on. No even a competent liar.
She's a real wizard at turning different ingredients into brown tasteless slop. It's a gift.
