Forever glomming onto bands with very young members in about 1997. There was another guy called Daniel Booth who was a lot younger, but did the same thing. I never met Price but Booth could be nasty and snotty if you disagreed with him. I think he writes about video games now.
I actually have met him a few times. Always seemed pretty quiet & reserved was my main impression tbh

I don't mind her not being online. I always think at least she is not ruining the atmosphere by her incessant complaining, photo's of something that was once edible foodpor creating pile on's to those that are clever enough to disagree with her.

Coming from the past to say that Jack’s lasagne bull has angered me so much this morning that I need to put it right and make one PROPERLY and with no mince SEEPAGE.

Get in the bleeping bin. Again.

My view is that is there's no Christmas collab, even a little one, she's finished. There are so many other cheffy personalities coming through social media and things like bake off that whatever the brief, there will be someone better than Jack.

I suspect she's not doing much and is a little bit paralyzed about what she should do. Applying for jobs that are "beneath her" on the agenda yet, but jobs that her profile might help her with e.g. something with TT would need to be handled carefully as they/she will be wary of backlash and it might not be worth it. At the moment I'm guessing her income is enough to live off of, plus Currys will have covered her for a couple of months.

This time next year will be a different story and I'd be shitting myself if I were her.

Absolutely this. She’s been in similar situations before but never to this extent, where even a brief mention or collab descends into a resurgence of ‘Where’s the Sue Lee cash?’ and ‘Why haven’t you paused Patreon?’. She’ll be sat in the bungamansion/wherever, not knowing which way to turn and slowly realising that it’s over.

BiB: what Jack has done for me is made me doubt almost everything in the papers, or at least view it with a much more critical mind than before.
She’s not only shown the food industry up for what it is (and I agree with your point on Nadiya), but the main stream media, and fundraising/crowdfunding too.
I read that 100k has been raised for those 2 bizzies who got sacked for shooting the black lad dead in London. I don't know a great deal about the case but I do know that if I had a spare fiver I wouldn't be chucking it at those trigger happy mfs. It's staggering how much can be raised staggeringly fast. The money that must've passed through Jacks begging bowl.

Yes, if you've got a cause that agrees with people's priors ("evil Tories" in Jack's case, or "this woke nonsense has gone Too Far" in the recent police case), then any fundraiser is a licence to print money because people leave their critical thinking skills behind.

Edit: if it's this case, it's not about two police officers who shot a child, it's about two police officers who were fired for gross misconduct after a stop and search

With you on that - she must have raised quite the pile of dosh over the years.
What is she going to do now her reputation is in absolute tatters? She could volunteer for real, I suppose, without looking for kudos and validation.
Personally, I would move to Australia or deepest darkest Peru and start over.😁

No not that 1 tenderstem. They shot an unarmed lad dead, he was in a stolen car and wouldn't stop. A load of firearms officers handed in their guns after in solidarity/concern they could be sacked and done for wrongful death when making a judgement call.

Has anyone been watching the drama unfold on Twitter over the weekend? A struggling mum posts video of Aldi manager treating her horrendously at the till & refusing to serve. Video goes viral, picked up by left wing academics etc. A hefty donation goes in from the Problematic Plumber. A "buy me a ko-fi" link appears. After she raised (she says) £700 yesterday, a JM Usual Suspect pops up to identify her as a serial gofundme/PayPal/Kofi for "need new cooker/uniforms/kids shoes" & claims to have reported to DWP. Ko-fi link gone, all previous fundraisers deleted, text of message she has sent to DWP in her own defence posted. She appears to be well versed in all the rules of declaring "charitable gifts" etc.
I hope Jack is watching, because you know what?

Bloody hell, I'd missed there was a fundraiser for those guys, I knew firearms officers had handed in their guns but I'd missed the fundraiser. I'm afraid my mental state at the moment is What A Surprise The Met Police Are At It Again so I try not to pay a huge amount of attention to yet another police corruption duck-up.

I think you might be getting the two cases muddled tender stem @Foxvint

The copper who shot Chris Kaba hasn’t been identified and is yet to go on trial for murder. The two who lied about being able to smell cannabis in top athletes Bianca Williams and Ricardo dos Santos‘s car have been sacked and their fundraiser has made nearly £130,000

Weirdly, Bianca Williams is currently on Women’s Hour on Radio 4 and has been talking about the impact the racist police officers have had on her. The Met is full of rum

The Met is such a bleeping mess. If I was a Londoner, I would have no faith in them. Especially that one bobby who just waved Guest Monroe through to Westminster without checking her ID.

The only reason I can think of that would keep her off SM for this long is that she is finally being investigated. Be that by HMRC, Charity Commission, or even the police for fraud (or crimes against food and fashion.)

Good insight into how easy it is for a casual observer to be duped. I'm actually aware of her, have her old account blocked (I block everyone who asks for donations), started to think it was a bit off when it popped back into my feed still grinding on yesterday evening, and still didn't realise it was the same woman until I saw Usual Suspects chat this morning. If I'd been at all trusting or charitable... well I guess that's exactly how it works.

Love that the thread title is a comment (possibly from one of guest's nearest and dearest) attempting to defend her in the Southend Echo. It makes about as much sense as chucking a pint of water in an air fryer.
