If it has been a decade of harassment and she is worried about the security of her home, then why has there been so many articles and interviews from her home (the most recent only months ago) containing huge amounts of personal information?
If she was that worried, she’d stay strictly ‘on brand’ and avoid unnecessary detail. Just like Martin Lewis etc; we know duck all about his home life because he’s doing a job.

Yep. See also multiple very open social media accounts, posting constantly across all platforms and over sharing in FB groups.

If I was being stalked and harassed I would close all my social media. And if I did keep anything it would be locked down tight and I certainly wouldn’t be posting in the manner Jack does.

This feels a bit victim blame-y and I’m not sure how much I agree in terms of accepting new T&Cs that directly contradict the tier packages written up and advertised on her Patreon page sorry… Jack is operating a scam on Patreon that relies on the goodwill of others & the fear of her flying monkeys/being abused or sued by her for it not to come crumbling down. She’s been co-signed by MSM and most recently Nigella so these lot are complicit in enabling it, yes ppl can/should do their due dilligence but… is that even possible until you get into the level of receipts hoarding we do here? The £3.50 is the only digital only tier and whilst yes it’s not been updated on Patreon since Nov 2020 it’s not outside the realm of possibility ppl believe these codes will be emailed to them? And how can anyone check for an absence of physical goods before subscribing?

There is so much shame and stigma around being scammed that we/her detractors as a whole should be clear that the shame v much lives with Jack Monroe. It’s a huge ask to expect someone to be savvy enough to see through all this tit from the off when she’s been legitimised by some of the country’s most trusted media outlets.

Could not agree more. Jack is entirely to blame for ripping people off. Separately though, the media who platform her and clueless types like Nigella who’ve directly enabled her are responsible separately. I’ve noticed a lot of those sticking up for Jack are elderly. Not meant patronisingly but they are generally more trusting in my experience. Obviously not all, but growing up before social media is may make you less cynical

The FM’s are probably the people who wouldn’t hesitate to criticise the NHS or customer service anywhere else. But what Jack is doing is okay because it makes them feel good to defend the poor single mother and they aren’t directly affected by her tit.

My parents could never understand why the bread always ended up as a wonky horrorshow until I pointed out that I'm left-handed and the natural slicing action of a left-handed person pushes the blade away from the bread but a right-handed person it's the other way so it goes wonky if you have right-handed and left-handed people cutting the same loaf.

+ iirc there’s been some subscribers who’ve come out and said that they’re fine with not receiving the physical benefits because they’re supporting Jack’s work/a poor single mother - which is fraud twice over imo. How many ppl would be happy to donate to the granddaughter of a multi millionaire slumlord & daughter of a bloke with a net worth easily over a mil based upon what we can substantiate online alone! Who’s been engaged/co living with a HNWI or later a high earner? Very few I’d imagine. Moreover it shouldn’t be advertised as an exchange of cash for physical goods then, it should all be under the “feel good for giving someone a work free lifestyle” package the £3.50 tier used to be (again, iirc?) before we provided added scrutiny to the whole scam.
