It's funny I came to this thread to share some local gossip I heard earlier than her dad's the leaseholder of a new cafe/heritage centre in the shoebury garrison (posh housing estate on a former army base) and here you all are talking about Mr h anyway

RIP her control of the narrative. Looks like her family history is getting the meme treatment:

I am genuinely curious about why some of the accounts I follow on Twitter haven’t unfollowed. Do they really not see the messiness?!

Jack, affronted that the squigs can’t appreciate the nuance of her dad being a decorated paratrooper, Queen saluter, slum landlord, large gun nut and simultaneously head comrade of Leninist Marxism

I’m expecting a post from Big Dave explaining that Jack moved out at 17 coz she was a bit of a mad head, they tried to help her out but she kept spunking all her housing benny on crap and ended up in a load of debt. They got her a great, well-paid and difficult to get job which she also managed to eff up. They’ve helped her out as much as they can and kept quiet through all her shameful behaviour because frankly, they’re used to it.
He votes Labour but is a Royalist, mainly because of his years in the forces. He has a few books on many subjects as do lots of soldiers-know your history and your enemy and all that. He didn’t realise Jack had taken that to mean he was a Marxist because she’d also borrowed her mum’s copy of Riders by Jilly Cooper and hadn’t accused them of running a raunchy racing stables.

I do hope people keep pressing the point that if her dad is such an amazing good guy, why did he let her fester in poverty. Really makes u think...
She has evaded this point for years in her slippery way.
Her parents are 'living saints'. Yet either:
They knew she and her son were cold and starving and did nothing.
Didn't know but missed the glaringly obvious signs she and her son were cold and starving.
Were so unapproachable Jack would rather have gone hungry than asked for help for herself and her son.

Any which way she doesn't paint them in a great light.

Bit of a ramble here but I promise it does relate to Jack's current chaos.

One of the things that's bothered me in recent days is the sheer volume of people (of which Jack was one) saying things like "isn't the Queen amazing for working right up until her death?" because I don't find that amazing at all, I find it horrifying. I know the Queen's job that day wasn't exactly what you'd consider hard labour, but still- no one should feel that they can't stop working right up until their actual death. Celebrating that isn't at all in keeping with socialism, it's a capitalist mentality because it feeds right in to the "if she could work in that condition then no one has an excuse for needing time off" type of bullshit that is used to make people feel guilty for not being at work 100 hours a week.

This is very similar to how Jack's "feed a family for £20" cosplaying feeds in to narratives that everyone should be able to live this frugally and makes people feel guilty for not being able to do it. Jack is constantly feeding in to the exact narratives that she claims to be opposed to and it's so frustrating. Her critical thinking skills are so poor and she's still stuck at her sixth form level politics of "Tories are bad and if you're not a Tory you're a socialist."

Gosh it's far too late for me to be getting this serious. I'm going to go and look at the Georgia Church Suppers screenshots again to help cheer myself off before I go to sleep 🦉🍾

Just looked at the ‘Jack Monroe’ trending on Twitter, it’s an absolute piss-take out there, still her squigs are fighting back but they are being torn apart, only defence they have is ‘Jack does good work, leave her alone’, needless to say this isn’t deterring the retorts back. Jack is a figure of ridicule now, actually shocked how much things have changed for her on the Twitter. People engaging her for events really need to see and recognise what the perception is of her now, they ain’t doing their causes any favours by linking with Jack.

One of my fav recent tweets on the Jack trending timeline 😁

Train loos are big enough for wheelchair users to get in so I'm sure someone with a buggy could fit.
No one asked her to hold their baby.
Personally I think there is a grain of truth in it, there always is. I think there was a new mum with her baby and she went to the loo and Jack offered to hold the baby and they declined because no normal person would hand over a newborn to a bloody stranger and then walk off.
Or maybe they asked Jack to save the seat? Jack then imagined she was the guardian of the baby and her Narc brain just ran with it.
I wonder whether the real story we will find out is the six day old baby was just crawling down a carriage looking for crumpled train tickets when she looked up and saw Jack and whispered: “goo gar Jack Monroe aren’t ooo? Fink ooo for all ooo do.” And Jack picked up the little mite and rescued her before she fell down under the train as the door opened. The mum - on benefits and swearing loudly on her phone - had let her out of her sights for just one minute while she went to toilet with a can of cider. The train clapped when they saw what Jack had done and now the woman has asked her to be Godmother and will name the baby after her. ‘Jack Monroe saved my baby - now there’ll be two Jack’s in my life’, exclusive to come in Take a Break special
