She’s already admitted she buys (and feeds SB) cheap tinned tomatoes so she can buy plush Moleskine notebooks for herself, who really thinks Jack knows literally anything about frugality, she’s just a skinflint miser. Cannot wait for the sock as a sanitary towel to be reframed as a hack, or you could use a Findus crispy pizza slice for bonus warm nethers! You cannot worry about the cheesy tina, you must make these swaps if you want your Swoon furniture!

On a grunk so I’ll be sure it’s been said - she literally just said she bought them at Tesco! Im sure I said this before on my old account (the one I DELETED because she annoyed me so much) that I have a cousin who is equally as annoying and lying comes as naturally to her as breathing air into her lungs too.
I simply don’t understand why people have to lie.
Also: doesn’t she understand how small micro plastic waste is? The item can still be in good shape and she wouldn’t notice the tiny pieces of plastic. They’re smaller than the human eye could see.
Oh she’s a tit.

Oh she’s a tit.
Given her shaky grasp of the English language, maybe she needs to be warned about macroplastics instead.

Maybe she has macro and micro confused again.

First of all, the squig said they were looking forward to the RECIPE for it, not whether Jack's making it again 🙄
Second of all, the media isn't interested Jack.

The Marguerite Patten comparison is what Sir Matt said in an episode of DKL and when she effusively gushed her thanks, he said it was scripted at which point I choked laughing. That was the second most hootworthy moment of DKL, the first being poor dusty Aunt Helen.

I had to go and buy a new tin opener today (my old one is DEAD after over 12 years of service) and I know Jack doesn't normally go to Morrisons as she's in bed with Mr Asda but she needs to get herself down there pronto. There's a whole section of an aisle just for her!

Buying a bar of soap and then deliberately using it to turn it into something else is not frugal or money saving. It’s bleeping pointless.

I once read a book from the 80s with money saving tips in it of the “save up slivers of soap which are too small to wash with any more, boil them together, reform into a bar shape, cool in the fridge and hey presto- new bar of soap” variety. Now that’s money saving but did the author factor in the money for boiling the soap down and cooling in the fridge? Probably not.

What’s the cheapest bar of soap one can buy at Asda or Ocado or Wilko’s? Surely not much more than 35p. So using Jack’s pricing per use, how much does anyone need to save less than 0.5 by doing even that?
My nan in the 1970s had a ‘soap saver’ a plastic soap shaped basket that you put slivers of soap in which you would then use as a bar of soap. It was grim as duck. Old bits of shield, imperial leather, luz and carbolic mixed in together.
