I'm still grunking, so everyone's probably already said this more succinctly and eloquently, but I just had to give my thoughts on the article while they're still fresh in my head.
Same tit, different shovel. Everything is someone else's fault, Jack is a completely blameless passive victim who stuff just happens to without playing any role in it herself.
Can posting on these threads fairly be called "trolling and abuse" when she has to actively search it out to see it? I'm sure it's not nice to read negative things about yourself, but a) we keep it on Tattle, never going to "her turf" and forcing her to read it, and b) if you're someone in the public eye - particularly someone who chooses to monetise their life and put out every thought into the public domain - there's going to be discussion about you. Soz, but it comes with the territory? I don't for one second condone anyone abusing her on her socials etc but 99% of her Twitter replies seem to be completely fawning comments telling her how fantastic she is?
And I'm sorry, if she was actually off her face while in sole charge of her son, whoever contacted "CPS" was quite right to do so (if it even happened). Referrals of that nature aren't made to try to have someone's kid taken off them, they're to make sure support services can be put in place and the welfare of the child is protected.
I found it odd that she didn't mention The Poverty when listing the many awkward "coming out" situations with her parents and the endless, unwavering support they've given her...
She seems to be squarely blaming Tattle for her falling off the wagon, but surely the breakdown of her relationship, the pandemic, the realisation she'd ducked up her biggest career opportunities, the residual trauma she constantly refers to decades of sexual abuse, etc, have all played a part? But no, it's all the evil cabal's fault, even going back to years before this forum existed.
Regardless, as a fellow human being I truly wish her well in her recovery, I'm happy she seems to be giving something back through her part-time, low-paid job, and hopefully her studies will help her become a better cook. I know that last bit sounds like shade, but I promise it wasn't meant that way. Well, maybe a bit.
