Read the article again in the day and my initial discomfort has been replaced with amazement. The self indulgent twaddle is like a 16 year olds version of 28 Days where she is Sandra Bullock.
I think it was a freebie article - she promotes this recovery place & her career, Diva gets what should be an iconic era defining essay.
The lack of tweets by Jack speaks volumes, she's read and seen the gentle, softly written words and realizes the Frau Collective are far more articulate than she'll ever manage.
Kudos to her folks, LJC, SBs dad for supporting her through the rehab and I do genuinely hope this time there is change & progress. However the article (echoes of the Grundian alcohol piece) suggest otherwise.

I was brought up in a very ott evangelical church where we had regular guest appearances from showmen preachers. They always talked of their rock bottom in these dastardly dramatic terms just before the Lord appeared, he spoke to them and they were REDEEMED! REDEEMED I TELL YOU!!!
They were hanging out with fallen women, loose women, riding motorbikes and cussing.
Hell, one time one of them woke up from a fugue state where they drank a WHOLE bottle of ABSINTH. the elixir of Satan his very self .
I feel less guilty than last night having read the article in full today.
Nothing surprising or shocking in it.
Sounds like the staff and fellow recovery friends have been slightly blinded by the narcissistic limelight & crawled right up her a and she proper lapped it up.
It's nowhere near as drastic as she makes it sound, and she is not someone who doesn't fit in but a tryhard who tries to make herself interesting and reinvents herself constantly to get accolades.
The other thing which pissed me off was her and her dad walking around the garden discussing it. Who the hell has a garden large enough to walk around to discuss Big Things?
Who goes to therapy as a mid thirties mum from the middle classes and starts throwing chairs qround?
The scenes with her mum and dad and her being lost for 7 years sound like another tale lifted straight from the bible: the prodigal daughter with a hint of Jesus lost in the wilderness abandoned by his father.
I've long held doubts about her level of alcoholism and I am sorry to say I'm extra sceptical about what she now calls her drug use.
Think she is way more straight than she appears to be, having her wild ride of being the rebellious ex Sunday school teacher
Jaysus...it's been among time Fraus...a whole year away from all social media for me...think I was last here in the threads around the 50's Mark.....I haven't caught up (or grunk'd as it once was) with any threads but in my first few weeks back on the social I see she was sober, but then apparently not sober...all whilst pretending to be sober -all by her own accounts- and somehow this was the "trolls" fault....classic Jack, lies lies manipulation so it immediately reminded me of this beautiful place and people who saw through it all. ...How's everyone been?!

That’s interesting. As an Essex girl with a genuinely working class background, religion was never a part of my life, so I appreciate your insight. I’ve always thought (and this only applies to white people) that Christianity is the preserve of the middle classes. Which also says something about Jack’s upbringing!
