I still don't get why she is staying in a hotel (at considerable expense for no-butter Jack). When she lives only an hour away? It just seems so indulgent and attention seeking and completely unnecessary.

I know it is too early for #threadtitle suggestions, but 'indulgent and attention seeking and completely unnecessary' seems so apt.

You can at condition-specific diagnostic clinics in some NHS areas - that's as specific as I'm going to get on this. Or if you pay for it.

Yeah... no. They won't do all that in one day. CT and x-ray definitely not, that's too much radiation in one day. Source- me. I have these every three months, apart from x-ray.

I was going to say similar - not about the radiation because I didn’t know that, but this certainly doesn’t sound like the NHS. You never get four different outpatient appointments on the same day. She must be going private.

Simple answer: no. There are three large hospitals in south and mid Essex (Southend, Basildon, Broomfield) that cover a really large area. All have different specialisms and patients get sent to them from all over the county. Cancer patients go to Southend, Broomfield do plastic surgery/burns etc etc.

Jack's behaviour is oh so juvenile at times. She's listing off all of the services/treatments to try and elicit as much sympathy as possible from her followers. Saying that she's having an x-ray wouldn't be 'enough' (or at least talking about having a routine/fairly standard treatment wouldn't gain 'enough' cooing and concern from squigs) so it's all compounded into one list to make it sound like she's being rushed from building to building and ward to ward. Her use of language is also unhelpful. Look at how she speaks about being prodded and poked – it makes her sound like she's someone who is being deliberately hurt? I know it may be overreacting but my brother is a doctor and I know how hard he has trained and how much effort he puts in to being an excellent healthcare professional. He isn't trying to 'prod' or 'poke' anyone, he is trying to look after his patients to the best of his ability. What I find sad is the thought that she doesn't have anyone to share her anxieties with? She broadcasts it all on Twitter to try and gain hundreds, if not thousands, of replies. Most people call their parents, a friend or a partner to talk about their anxieties. Her mum was a nurse, for LJC's sake!

Not to triangulate oneself... but that’s not too much radiation in one day.... she might be having a head scan, or a sinuses scan, an X-ray of her hands cos of her rheumatoid diagnostic imaging is not high dose radiation and if it’s needed it’s needed. In a private centre they’d definitely do it all in one day. Even in the NHS you can sometimes get quick stuff done in a day. Anyway she’s a first class hole for her stupid bleeping crumb trail and attention seeking.

I've been told I need to wait two weeks between scans, although mine have all been abdominal, would that be why? I have them quite frequently as I have more than one stomach issue. And yeah, she's an hole
