I have a friend who does this because her birthday is Christmas Day. So she has a second birthday/Christmas on 25th June with a full Christmas dinner and associated nonsense.
I always feel sorry for people who have their birthday at Christmas time, it's so sad having to wait the entire year for both to come around and no-one even cares that it's your birthday.
I'm a right smug witch having mine in June.

My birthday’s near Christmas so I think I might do it this year to start making up for lost time.

I love the buzz in the air. Everyone being happy. The music. Christmas markets. The food. The telly.
But the actual day!? Spending it with people you'd probably rather not trying whilst trying to keep everyone happy. And the crippling anti-climax at the end of the night. No thanks. I'll take from Dec 1st until whatever time dinner is finished on the big day.

There's faux outrage somewhere on the internet that the JG thread is talking about roasting, but alas it's not spit roasting, just actual roasts.
Apparently it’s either 12th or 25th July, so it appears we can choose.
I agree I don’t really like Christmas Day, I just love everything else building up to it. The day itself is usually a let down.
12th is a Tuesday and 25th is a Monday. Rubbish days.
