like 10 mins into his most recent vid he makes this joke about UK elections being more low budget than US ones in this really animated way, and the WHOLE thing is just totally lifted from this tweet... why doesn't he credit it? he does that ALL the time it's so annoying and cringey. just imagine him reading it and then rehearsing saying it so he can repeat it in his video as though it's natural....

Yes! That's what always bugs me - you can tell which comments/jokes have been lifted from elsewhere by the weird way he delivers them. His intonation is completely different when he's just self-commentating or talking to someone versus when he's saying these *original* quips. I guess he's trying to come across as naturally funny, when in fact the opposite is true.

I’m still confused as to why he didn’t move back home? Like surely regardless of the money he was raking in, he’s not magically got a graduate job in London, his could save soo much money at home and would have access to WiFi? I’m really not sure why he seems so dead set on staying in London (it’s not like his family is that far either!)

He needs to define himself somehow - can't be 'the English Lit student at Durham' anymore, so living in London is about as exciting as he can muster right now.

I am already sick of his thrifting videos, what else can he possibly offer in lockdown? Reading challenges I guess.

Edit: I was thinking he should remove all the references to his author and influencer status from his LinkedIn and CV and market his soft skills learned in his degree (analytical skills, problem solving and communication) and willingness to learn to employers. Who wants to work with a kid in an entry level/grad role who just talks about his book and social media successes? Would turn me right off.

Any sensible and vaguely intelligent person would do exactly that. Influencer especially will get more eyes rolling than being impressed and doesn't tell employers anything

You're right, being an author and influencer doesn't actually tell an employer anything they need to know about his transferable skills and knowledge. He needs to do the legwork on his CV to make himself stand out for the right reasons. Otherwise it's just looks lazy. What I wouldn't give to see one of his submitted job applications!

Also, why has he put 'author' under employment? It looks like he's employed to churn out books given the way he's placed/worded it. Pretty sure LinkedIn has a publications section (but that's probably too discreet for him).

Haha it's weird to actively look out comments and then complain but influencers are generally a weird bunch.

In fairness though those photos are nicer than his usual full length shots. He does look better although the outfit is an acquired taste but to each their own.
