Looks really good to employers tooIts worrying really that some so called influencer appears to know so little. either he is dumb or playing dumb for the camera. He is a uni graduate, he should be an adjusted adult now.
Going to be WAY more than £800/month for a 2 bed in central London, definitely upwards of £1000 and probably much more.Jacks flat is HUUUGE
Is it really just him and one other flatmate? In London?! Any guesses for how much that is per month?! Surely at least £800?
Edit: multiple floors, at this point it’s a house...
oh yeah probably, all his videos are very click baity titles and he is clearly an attention seeker anyway. Still so cringe though and it just doesnt make him look good. He should be transitioning now into something more mature reflecting the next stage of his life and something that will appeal to his contemporaries going through the same thing. I honestly think in a couple of years he will be lost, his current audience will have moved on, he will be irrelevant to generations coming through and he will not appeal to employers and will have missed his window for graduate jobs. Youtube as a platform will likely have evolved too.Regarding the comments about ‘adulting’ I wonder if this is all part of the brand, rather than his actual experience. I agree it seems superficial, especially in the current circumstances, but social media is all about getting views, etc, so I think this might be a form of attention seeking.
This. He comes across like a little teenager - it’s really not endearing. Have some empathy Jack, with the adult world around you where people are on less pay that usual because of furlough or reduction of hours, where people are doing their bit not to be superspreaders whereas you aren’t. He just comes across as a petulant smug boy tbh.oh yeah probably, all his videos are very click baity titles and he is clearly an attention seeker anyway. It shows what class he’s from, he clearly isn’t worried about money because YouTube means he can swan about doing what he wants, hasn’t had to live back in with his parents like a lot of graduates, not just graduates during a pandemic......This. Has to be over £1K for the type of room and house he’s living inyeah I mean £800 would be more like renting one room would cost. a whole 2 bedroom multi level flat in central? 1000s I'd say
I'll joke with my friends about adulting and not wanting to do "adult" things like going food shopping but I wouldn't post it to social media for thousands of people to see?I will never understand the trend of using the word 'adulting' to describe living life.
Jack is in an incredibly privileged position, i.e. lives on his own after from his parents, where it's a lot easier to do what you please/be independent. Many people (myself included) can't afford to do that, especially in the current situation.
Yes, you have to look after yourself (i.e. eat well, clean, do laundry, pay bills etc.), but that's not much different to what you do at university. He acts like this is all new to him, when it isn't. It could be a ploy to seem relatable to his younger audience, but he's alienating himself from viewers his age who have got to do exactly the same (but without the moaning).
Same, I just took a shift at work and got on with it. Truly a small sacrifice, because public health is under threat. Bigger picture please! My birthday was during the actual lockdown, Jack you're not the only one who had a crappy birthday this year.
Was it the HP one? Yep, I don't see him defecting over to HP when Apple makes him look richer.Something I noticed! He got gifted a new laptop in his last video and did nothing but rave about how good it is and used it in the video, only to show on tiktok that he’s still using his MacBook Pro![]()
anna lenks also filmed a video saying how good computer it was, and in yesterday's or today's IG stories she was clearly working on her macbook pro again....it clearly shows that these influencers are the last people who need free devices or gadgets from those big companiesSomething I noticed!
