Ibz has had some questionable times in his second year where things seemed to derail for him but he took time away from YouTube, worked on getting through his degree and has inspired people to engage with access schemes and self-belief. I believe he’s put in the graft and research and has clear passion to help with social mobility through education, which makes his a great candidate for the Oxford MSc. Jack on the other hand comes across as fake woke middle class lad who left assignments to the last minute and laughed it off as “bants” and event said in a vlog that he was called in for a meeting to be warned about attendance in his second year because he was travelling so much and missing lectures for influencer events. Surely Oxford are aware of the study tube crowd and it wouldn’t take much to form an impression of what they would actually be like as a student. I’m sorry, but any negative perception of Jack’s suitability for studying at Oxford has been laid by himself, through showing his behaviours through vlogs. He doesn’t come across as passionate about his subject. Surely at Postgrad level Oxford would be looking for the best of the best, as they take less students than undergrad courses and want to ensure those they take are passionate about the course.
