I agree that it’s unusual he hasn’t made a video about his degree results. I think the non-detriment policy basically involves degree classifications being calculated twice, both in the usual way and disregarding assessments completed in the current circumstances, with a student being awarded the higher classification, to ensure that nobody is disadvantaged.
I would be surprised if he re-applies to Oxford. I know someone who has just graduated with a first and the workload is intense, with one essay (or more) per week. Jack portrays himself as someone who leaves his essays until the last minute, which I’m sure is not endearing to Admissions Tutors.
