Jack's degree results were published on 16 July, and still no word from him on Youtube or Twitter, about what grade he got.......its so suspicious, and I, for one, feel cheated that he is hiding this from us! We didn't need to know about the failed Oxford Masters application, but we do need to know his degree classification, after 3 years of watching him! Anyhow, I'm not watching his channel anymore....useless!

Migrated from GG the other day so my first post here but I would say Ibz maybe didn't word it exactly right but in that bit where he mentions arrogance he also says those people feel 'entitled' which I heard as meaning people like Jack who say 'I'm gonna show them they were wrong before! Take that Oxbridge!' as opposed to just understanding that getting in means you deserve it..
Fair point! Agree with that, think if that is what Ibz means he needs to work on making sure his wording is clear though.

It's also jack's second rejection. Different level of studies yes but Oxford has told him twice that he isn't what they are looking for.
Completely different courses which are looking for completely different things in the application process, which is also completely different. I still only think it's comparable if he applies for exactly the same course twice, like Ibz did.

Shame him on social media. usually I wouldnt suggest that but he lives his life on there, making money off it and happily sneakily criticises others on it.

Does anyone know the exact course he applied for at Oxford? I just had a little look on the English Lit courses at Oxford and there's only one really "competitive" course. All the rest pretty much had 70 applications to 60 places. I think he needs to accept that he can enjoy English Literature without being validated by Oxford.

And now he’s back in London?
I get he lives alone but now he’s had enough of his parents and wants his own space he just goes 😂 why can’t people just stay put? Talk about unnecessary.

Hi guys, I've been watching Jack on and off for a few years, mostly just to see what he's up to.

Sorry if this is obvious or has been mentioned before, but does anyone know if he has any plans for a master's? Has he a confirmed place anywhere? Is he reapplying for Oxford? Abandoned the whole idea and now job searching (that's the idea I get from his tweets but I rewatched his Oxford masters rejection video last night and he seemed to say he was going to apply again!)?

So what do we think he'll do in his gap year? Reckon he'll just do exactly what Jade and Holly and all the other gap year studytubers do

I agree that it’s unusual he hasn’t made a video about his degree results. I think the non-detriment policy basically involves degree classifications being calculated twice, both in the usual way and disregarding assessments completed in the current circumstances, with a student being awarded the higher classification, to ensure that nobody is disadvantaged.

I would be surprised if he re-applies to Oxford. I know someone who has just graduated with a first and the workload is intense, with one essay (or more) per week. Jack portrays himself as someone who leaves his essays until the last minute, which I’m sure is not endearing to Admissions Tutors.

is it just me or does anyone else think that £17 for a planner is expensive? This seems to feed into the commercialisation of ‘productivity’. There is a useful article below about this:

17£ is standard I’d say. As soon as you want a “nicer” planner they tend to get quite pricey ...

The moment he started storying about Strictly I was thinking: "I bet he's never watched the show in his life before being paid to do so"
He did tweet to people to vote for Joe Sugg back in 2018 and slagged off Ashley Roberts in the process for having dance training (unnecessary). Otherwise I doubt he's watched it.

Yet - and also deleting ALL tweets about Oxford... we can only assume that he was rejected surely? As he already has the degree if he'd gotten an offer it would've been unconditional hence he would've shouted it from the rooftops. I think he's going to keep it secret he got rejected for a third time
I'd think so. Jack is way too annoying, he'd definitely tweet about getting into Oxford as soon as he got the news. In that case I'm expecting a very dramatic "moving on from Oxford & identity crisis" video in a few months.

That or he is limiting it as he is applying again and not wanting to draw attention to it if they check out his channels. Not that he needs to, they'll remember the 'guy with youtube channel' applying for 3rd time. Despite what applicants thing admissions staff do remember 🤣🤣
He wanted to apply for this fall, right? Application deadline was January 8 according to the department website, the last comment on the video was two weeks ago. Would he already be hearing back from them? I don't think that's enough time for admission procedures, surely?

I reckon it’s vee who he’s helping on the “self help book” she’s just announced she’s writing a book with penguin
I thought it sounded like more of an autobiography with some motivational stuff thrown in, but you could be right.
