While it could be the manufacturers, it could also depend on what they were given. Did he not proof read it? did he supply them with the correct product? could be either/or.

were those tweets really just 7 hours ago? if so that's the middle of the night. were the manufacturers really contactable and already dealing with it then 🤷‍♂️

I think he tried to to make it sound like he is checking advice but considering he has been abroad a few times in the past couple of months you'd think he'd think he's not exactly hard done by by the pandemic... We can all be sad that stuff is cancelled. I think the 'no pub for Jack' bit annoyed me, like check your privilege Jack. You were in Berlin the other week.
Wow. Poor diddums. How will he possibly cope without having a party all about him?

That comment at the end 'I hope that's okay' could be read as really passive aggressive. All right Jack, calm down.

Jack possibly thinks being a youtuber and 'author' makes him interesting and different, but sadly that's what so many of his generation are doing so it isnt new or different. Possibly if he was a proper published author on something other than blog posts stuck together, or if he blogged on something more meaningful then he may have got in

Honestly I find booktube sort of dull. I love seeing reviews of the books I've read, especially fi they critically discuss the book but that's really about it

I just wouldn't look at his content unless I was a fan of the celebrities' the title mention, and even the mystery book or book exchange stuff seems a bit of a miss. They seem like a good way to find books I may want to read but honestly my to-read list is awfully long and I have so many unread books that it's a bit pointless to watch

If his Youtube channel was a problem for his Oxford application due to a couple of videos working under pressure... what about Vee Kativhu? She has tons of videos writing her essays in less than 4 hours and she got accepted into Harvard!
In my opinion I don't think Jack's videos were a problem for his application.

His new place is HUGE.
My jaw actually dropped, for a London apartment it's gigantic. Pretty jealous of all that space. He must be earning way more than I thought through YT/his products - unless there's something seriously wrong with the flat it must be at the very least £1000 per person pcm.

She wasn't able to afford it before, so she wasn't sure if she would even go because she couldn't receive funding, she didn't earn it just due to youtube but also the amount of sponsorships her management got her (just giving context in case many people here don't keep up with her) But I do agree, Jack will definitely have a significant amount of money.
I think for a lot of influencers who earn money from AdSense and sponsorships, it's not always about whether they have the money but more about whether they want to spend the money they have.

I hope he doesn’t comment, he has no idea how any of them are feeling, he has no idea what the outcomes are/how different they would have been to sitting at the exams, it’s not been easy and politicians are just playing games to get them to resent their teachers when the new announcement about mocks the regulatory body (ofqual) didn’t even know about!
Exactly. A generation of students could be completely screwed over tomorrow because the Conservative’s agenda and ego after outrage was more important than actually giving students the chance they deserve. the studytubers can save the humble bragging and insincere sympathy for every other day of the year.

Playing the mental health card hahah
I didn’t even say anything about him personally, I pasted a comment from here that pointed out how he was incorrect to say x y and that being from the third best state school doesn’t make you disadvantaged as he implicitly implies yawn x bored
Sorry if I missed something but what was this in reply to??? Was it just a public tweet and then he messaged you individually?

It never fails to amaze me how tone deaf so many virtue signalling influencers and celebs are

Being a student influencer in your 20s will be weird...
It is definitely weird, but people still give it a go (i.e. Rosie Crawford, still calling herself a "recent graduate of the university of Oxford" at the start of every video even when it's over a year since she graduated)

I've just had a quick look at the pages that are on amazon and on one page he states that nothing you do on an open day, short of killing someone, will impact you getting into uni.
Another error in the Amazon preview from the Open Days section:

Sorry Jack, campus university students also "actually live in the city centre". It's only in first year (at most universities) that they live on campus. How much research did you do again?

Someone I follow posted a photo of their online class that they were teaching. about 15 students and not one had their webcams on so it was just greyed out generic profile silhouettes they were talking to. Soul destroying and demotivating for lecturers with no feedback to work from
That's why I always have my webcam on when I attend any online event (unless everyone is told to turn them off). Jack is the type to defer a year solely because it's online.

It's probably a lame guess, but I was thinking that guy from GBBO - Henry?
People like that need assistants?!

Could be though, he has popped up on YouTube channels before so is in that world. Not sure id really class him as a celebrity though 🤷‍♂️

Unsurprising that literally 90% of his jokes in his Handforth video are from the top comments of the viral video. Not saying they were the most original jokes anyway, but he could've tried a bit harder.
