It amazes me that in an increasingly secular society, so many people subscribe to (and base 'rights' on) statements of pure faith, with no material proof, i.e. "transwomen are women" and "transmen are men". Transphobia is such a flimsy concept, and such an easy accusation to throw around, precisely because it is based on these weak statements.

Can I just say the Canadian grape shelter, Vancouver grape Relief, has not closed down. After they lost their local government funding for not accepting males, lots of terves donated their own money to keep it open

Many of this shelter’s residents are indigenous women. In Canada, indigenous women face a very disproportionate risk of being killed. Some of this is due to high rates of problems in their communities like domestic violence, alcoholism etc, and some is due to vulnerable women turning to prostitution. This shelter helps those women who might end up as statistics, and for all the bleating SJWs do about missing and murdered Indigenous women, they want to shut it down for not agreeing with their opinion.

Yeah I personally could never understand the appeal of this show. Drag in general to me seems a little bit like blackface? It's the oppressor (men/white people) imitating and taking on a caricatured version of the oppressed (women/black people). I don't get how it's so celebrated?
Actually I think that you make a good point. It's female parody but of course it's fashionable at the moment. We can watch shows like drag race for a bit of a laugh but i bet none of us know any woman in real life that dresses like a drag queen.

I saw on mumsnet on a thread that said there is video footage of one of those authors addressing an audience on stage and called gay people ‘deviants’ and that trans should stay well away from them. I must say I haven’t seen the video myself, I just read the thread.

Theres an issue with some in the trans lobby saying gay people arent gay they are trans. Although transwomen still try and bag women so they are allowed to be lesbians apparently.
