I’m not sure how it works with NHS and time frames will probably depend on the area you’re in but best of luck with it xHi ladies, I hope it's okay for me to join?
After 19 months of ttc, I got referred by my GP a month or two back. I have a baseline fertility assessment booked for mid Jan. Can anyone give me a rough idea of what to expect going forwards with possible appointment types and estimated time frames? Thank you all
I can recommend Create Fertility. Not sure where about in the NW you are but their treatment clinic is in Wilmslow and they have a satellite clinic you can access for blood/scans in Liverpool if it’s more convenient. We had success with them on our first round of IVF doing a mild protocol. Good luck xHey, I had a doctors appointment this morning and she told me the nhs waiting list is a year minimum atm in my areawe were already swaying towards private but that kind of helped our decision so does anyone have any recommendations for fertility clinics in the North West area?
I never had prostap but injections are intentionally fool proof because majority of people won’t have any experience of injecting themselves. Most of my injections were the pre filled ones but the one I had to do where you make it up yourself (busereline I think) I majorly panicked that I might have done it wrong. As long as it went somewhere in your lower tummy and the syringe was emptied don’t worryI administered my Prostap injection today in preparation for IVF next cycle but am paranoid I've somehow done it wrong as I've never had to self inject anything before.
The nurse told me its really hard to get it wrong. Has anyone done this before and can reassure me that I'm just overthinking?!
Do you have any updates? I've been off the pill for 5 years too - 3 when we began trying x xThank you for making this thread 🤍
I’m sure a few lovely supportive ladies will move over from the ttc thread. Shall we do a little re-introduction?
I’m 32, partner is 34. I’ve been off contraception for over 5 years, trying for 2. No joy, obviously! I’ve just made the first step to get our fertility tested.
NoI've been trying for 2 years with my OH, we went to the drs mid last year, had various tests - they think it's pcos...
i find out on Thursday. Just thinking what will be next, feel like we have waited so so long.. tried so much and every month there is one line.. its just gutting.

Quoting my own postHi
I'm 38 this year and it will be 2 years TTC at the end of March. I was prescribed Clomid 50mg in November for 6 months (unmonitored) and I haven't finished the course yet.
I'm now booking a private consultation with a fertility specialist and this involves an AMH blood test, semen analysis and fertility scan but if I'm on Clomid, I assume the fertility scan won't show the "natural" position. So shall I come off Clomid for this? Or book it when I finish Clomid? (I don't really want to wait) Or have the scan anyway? I don't know what to do!
I already ovulate according to day 21 bloods (before Clomid) so not sure why I'm on it in the first place...Any Clomid success stories here?
I was on Clomid when I had my first scan at my IVF clinic and I just told them about it so they were aware. It didn’t affect my treatment.Hi

I just bought the arm band ovusenseHas anyone tried ovusense? It’s pricey but wondering if it’s worth it..
As far as I know it checks your temp so confirms when you’re going to ovulate/ have ovulated.
Please let me know how you go with it, I’m thinking about it!I just bought the arm band ovusensethought I may as well try it whilst I wait for my fertility app to come through. When in doubt, throw money at it?
I will! I didn’t get the egg looking one you put up yourself, I got the arm band so will just test my temp and confirm ovulation. I thought with the fertility lube and sperms I couldn’t stand putting it in every nightPlease let me know how you go with it, I’m thinking about it!
