His dad got cremated today at 1pm. I’m surprised he has any relatives there supporting him when that was scheduled.

I don't see these two lasting prison, prisoners in there are only dying to see their kids so the first chance they get, AW and HS are done for

The bio Dad was being interviewed on local news just now. He did look broken and was vey subdued, as to be expected.

She looks nothing like the photo being touted about, and has he got a black eye in the mugshot?
I thought same they don't look like the pics online going about.
That does look like a black eye hopefully someone had a good punch at the wick.
I just hope sentencing will give a bit of justice in been lengthy absolutely wicked evil pair

Regardless of any background on bio dad or his family.
I cannot even imagine sitting in a court having to hear the things and details they heard about little issabelle his wee girl. Must be soul destroying

Peter Wright KC has successfully put the killer(s) of Preston Davey and now Isabelle Welsh behind bars for hopefully the rest of their sorry lives....
Ooof that’s two pretty heavy cases pretty much back to back that 😔

So glad to see they were both found guilty

I thought it was Richard Wright KC who was the prosecutor, not Peter Wright KC?

This has not made front page news like Preston’s verdict, which is sad.

Sadly, I think as it doesn't have the unique 'adopted and killed by gay couple' element it just doesn't have the same shock factor for the newspapers to want to run the story.

They won't get a WLO like Varley despite deserving it, possibly Simpson will but I think probably will be just a step down from it.

I'm glad the jury have once again delivered justice as far as the law can.

Poor, sweet baby should be loving a care free life, devoid if pain and suffering. It's just unfathomable.

so lets hope she wont be able to have anymore children to harm
It's unlikely as a life sentence is a minimum of 15 years for murder, but I'd imagine her sentence will be higher due to the sheer level of cruelty against such a young child.

Ideally she won't be eligible for parole until she's at least 50.

I hope her mother& stepfather are questioning themselves as to why they werent more authoritative, no grandchild of mine would have been left in that environment let alone be complicit in providing alcohol 😖

Agreed - I also think there could be a class element to it as well.

Part of the shock in Preston’s case was because his adoptive parents were portrayed as respectable, educated and middle class – the sort of people society “expects” to provide a safe and loving home.

Isabelle’s case sadly fits a stereotype we’ve seen reported so many times before and have probably become quite desensitised to. Absent father, mum who didn’t work and was constantly drunk/high, had introduced and moved in a new drug dealer boyfriend after only a couple of weeks and despite the obvious signs of abuse, continued to prioritise that relationship over her daughter’s safety.

It’s a dreadful set of circumstances, but because it fits a familiar narrative, I think it attracts less attention. Neither child deserved what happened to them and both cases should be front page news.

I think as well we saw so much evidence even throughout the trial like interviews and body cam footage, not much released here
