I read it as although there was sexual abuse it couldn’t be concluded that it was the motive for murder
I didn't follow the trial, but read the thread from time to time. It's actually unbearable to even think about what that poor little girl went through. 
The pain and fear she must have felt during her short life. Indescribable.
Coming so soon after the trial of the murderers of baby Preston, I feel both sad and angry that so many helpless and vulnerable babies and children are so badly failed by those around them. And I hate to say it, but I am quite sure this won't be the last court case/ trial of this nature,

There’s an article in The Sun, Isabelle’s dad has spoken out. They broke up last March 2025, and she started a relationship with Harrison 3 months later. She used drink lager and become violent towards him. He also did alert social services about his concerns after the broken leg, but they didn’t do anything. Alex wouldn’t let him see Isabelle.
Josh and Walker met in 2021 but their relationship hit the rocks.
He told how she would down ten cans of strong Stella lager a day and often turned violent against him.
They split acrimoniously in March last year and Walker refused to allow Josh to see his daughter despite many attempts by the doting dad.
Within three months she had started a new relationship with the then 21-year-old Harrison Simpson, who she met on Snapchat.
He swiftly moved into her home in Thornaby, Teesside, and soon began abusing little Isabelle.
Josh was so concerned for his daughter he rang police and social services but said nothing was done.
The bricklayer said: “Even before she met Harrison Simpson I was voicing my concerns for Isabelle.

I have been following the trial and after the latest update on the judges sentencing. I have been wondering if it was all Harrison, I can’t help wondering if it was mostly Walker.
Isabelle’s dad also said he’s never seen her lay a finger on Isabelle and didnt think any of the abuse was her but she thought about herself.
I think probably both. Where they're from is one of the most deprived areas in the UK, no such thing as education or getting a job. Just sit at home on benefits all day, then it's the kids who suffer and never stand a chance at becoming anything
Bio Dad doesn't appear the brightest spark no. BUT his appearance after sentence I couldn't judge on that what him and his family had to listen to in detail just omg about his baby girl must have been hell on earth.

BUT something gives me and has always gave me the indication following this case that hasn't been fact. AW was manipultive witch and a liar to all around her. I defo don't think this had just started with HS arrival. She was a liar , a drunk drug user that had major aggression issues She maybe even had shreks of jealousy in her been immature towards isabelle. Yeah, the bio dad’s behaviour seems totally inappropriate to most, eg he posted his court sentencing outfit on Snapchat then Facebook.
I found myself judging him a lot, then felt bad as I really don’t think he realises or knows any better. Just like the families scrapping in the comments of the news articles, I felt quite classist for judging them on that.
Like an above poster has pointed out, they’re from a very deprived area and I’m certain that’s why this story isn’t ’bigger news’.

I know it sounds stupid, but I saw the clip of her smoking whilst Isabelle was dying and the garden looks well kept, has string lights, gardening tools etc so it’s not what I think of when I imagine an alcoholic, neglectful mess of a mother who drank a crate of lager every day.

To be honest, expecting bio dad to be much different to HS and JW is probably wishful thinking but at least he didn't commit murder.
Time will tell the type of person he is…
I don’t know, but I assume someone who grew up in an extremely deprived, bleak as duck area, where there’s no employment, where addiction, mental health issues and due to the former, things like domestic violenceand abuse are rife.
It’s not classist to say this at all, I’m from a deprived area of the Midlands where there were huge industries that went to tit and left everyone with no work, previous governments didn’t invest in these areas (especially in the North/Midlands) for anything like healthcare, community enrichment or education and it absolutely sucks. Theres no prospects.
There’s a reason why extremist parties like Reform have high voters in these places, because they (falsely) offer a glimpse of hope.
Of course that’s not to say that everyone growing up in these places, and/or grew up in horrible environments, end up doing horrendous crimes like this and it seems that the community have condemned not only AW’s family, but also seem to have a lot to say about the bio dad and his family too.

AW claims she was victim of DV, however she’s also been found to be an attention seeking liar. IMO she successfully manipulated & played the system fabricating lies for her own advantage. Armed with a Non-Molestation order it was made easy for her to alienate Josh & his family, regardless of the actual truth.
AW started a new relationship with HS in June 2025, just 3 months after her relationship with Josh ended. HS moved in astonishing quickly considering she was only given priority for a safe, new home due to allegedly fleeing from Isabelle’s dad. The home AW obtained by deception was made safe by her friends because they also believed her lies, it was enough to convince them she was a victim of abuse.
In reality she was being a deceitful c*nt to distract awareness away from her relationship with HS, the drug dealing/taking & her drinking to excess every night. The gullible Grandmother only enabled her behaviour further!
Not only did Josh contact the police & social services on several occasions, but some of her neighbours had put welfare reports in with SS only to be ignored.

You’re right, it is. Maybe the relationship with Josh broke down and he was the one keeping her grounded as she had a severe personality disorder and/or maybe a tit childhood. Maybe AW was a sociopath who managed to make and maintain friends who helped her, as well as convince her family that Isabelle was cared for.The back & forth between all the families under the Sun article is interesting

What annoys me about the legal system (and I know the reasons why this isn’t realistic) is that we can’t get to the truth of it, Isabelle deserves much much more than a senseless murder, I wish lawyers could get the dependents to give the actual honest truth, instead of he said she said. I wish lawyers who defend people like AW could refuse if she’s not honest with them, her story was laughable to anyone.
I think ‘innocent until proven guilty’ is so grey, a lot of people found not guilty are and we all know that.
