What I find astonishing is that AW got up at 11am, simply took HS' word that Isabelle was napping, and she didn't wake her until 3pm when she returned from the shop. Regardless of whether Isabelle was "unwell", what 2.5 year old child naps for over 4 hours during the daytime?!
I just can't comprehend how a parent would not worry enough to wake the child to see if they were OK, take temperature, give some water etc. Especially if they were supposed to be ill.
I can't help but feel there's so much more to this than we will ever know. It's heartbreaking and Isabelle deserved so much more

At best AW was a terrible mother (that’s being very polite) no common sense in how to look after a child and at worst, she was an abuser. It says she went to bed “earlier than usual“ and ”before AW’s parents left”. Does that mean she was up and about while they were dropping off the shopping and AW put her to bed while they were there or was she already in bed when they arrived?
