Yes they are.
There was definitely a go fund me , he shared it on 28th September ‘ 25 and there was a pub card with half going towards her funeral shared round about the same time .
Maybe funeral directors do the basics free and things like horses are extra .

In the UK we have a court system that everyone can use. You go to court and get a contact order. If one person doesn't obey the court order you take it back to court.
I've no time for dad's like this.
Whilst he wasn't seeing Isabelle, was he sending money to contribute to her lifestyle? Was he putting money into a separate account for her? Was he in touch with organisations that can help fathers? Was he doing anything to heal himself to stop him abusing Isabelle's mother? Was he apologising for the abuse he inflicted on her? Was he trying to make amends?
Was he balls

Just to add - I was always of the understanding that funerals for children were free. Happy to be corrected though.
I'm sure you're right and they are indeed free.

The govt probably doesn't cover 17 bejewelled elephants and 4,000 helium balloons, though. Obviously he doesn't want to draw attention to himself . . .

The "funeral she deserved" shouldn't have been available or necessary for at least another 70 years.

The burial plot/cremation is free an paid for by the government anything else free is at the discretion of the funeral director but most if not all will not charge service or basic coffin fees.

I know it’s not important in the grand scheme of things but it’s really irking me that AW says and also repeated in court, in the reporting “Isabelle had a heart attack”. No, she went into cardiac arrest because someone smashed her head in. A heart attack is when someone has a blood clot in their coronary artery and is usually middle aged or older, and if it’s not resolved they may go into cardiac arrest and die. Isabelle’s heart stopped because she was beaten to death. Is she so thick or disingenuous or just doesn’t care enough to know the difference?

Updates from today cos I posted earlier in the wrong thread 🤦‍♀️

2:38pm17/07/26
Case adjourned
The hearing has been adjourned for the day due to illness and will resume on Monday when Alexandra Walker is expected to conclude her evidence.

12:40pm17/07/26
Sexual relationship
Walker accepts that Simson regularly wanted to have sex with her and they had a very active sex life.
She says that Simpson like to be called 'daddy' and asked her to call him 'daddy' while they were having sex and admitted that it seemed a little 'creepy'.
Mr Wright puts it to her that she searched for 'when a man only wants sex' - is that the impression you got.
She says 'yes' before admitting that he asked her to do things in the bedroom which she was uncomfortable with.
Walker admits that it felt a 'bit odd' Simpson's approach to sex.
The hearing has adjourned for lunch.
12:36pm17/07/26
Drug dealing
Mr Wright quizzes Walker about her internet searching for different types of cannabis and grip seal plastic bags.
She accepts that she was using her phone to search for items used in dealing drugs.
The jury is looking at a photograph from Walker's kitchen where grip seal bags and weighing scales could be seen.
She accepts that she was selling drugs on the streets with Harrison Simpson from a very early stage in their relationship.
Mr Wright puts it to Walker that she was engaged in a financial and romantic relationship with Simpson. She agrees.
12:29pm17/07/26
Love bombing
Mr Wright puts it to Walker that she was enjoying the attention from Simpson and he showed a lot of interest in Isabelle.
"Was it all a bit too good to be true?" he asks. "Do you agree?" Walker replies: Yes."
He says that Simpson was staying over at her home by early July and Walker accepts that it all happened quite quickly.
Walker accepts that Simpson always made a big fuss of Isabelle and buy her treats and sweets but denies that it was a 'bit odd' in the beginning but she started to get concerned about his interest in her daughter.
Mr Wright puts it to Walker that Isabelle didn't like spending time with Harrison Simpson. She says that wasn't the case, she would often just cry to be with her.
She accepts that it was 'convenient' to have him around because he showered her in attention and treated Isabelle with sweets and treats.
Walker accepts that she benefitted financially as they were selling drugs together and that Simpson smoked cannabis 'all of the time'.
12:22pm17/07/26
Head injury
Mr Wright asks who fractured Isabelle's skull.
She says: "It was not me. It must have been Harrison."
He asks who inflicted the other fractures to Isabelle.
"It wasn't me who did it to Isabelle - it must have been Harrison," she says.
Fighting through tears, Walker tells the court that it was Harrison Simpson who sexually abused and murdered her daughter.
She continues to deny that she has been protecting Simpson.
Mr Wright asks if she is frightened of Harrison Simpson, she says 'no'.
Walker accepts that she kicked Simpson out of her house when she accused him of being a 'romance scammer' and had been cheating on her.
12:16pm17/07/26
Aggressive behaviour
Mr Wright puts it to Walker that she became aggressive and confrontational when ever anyone challenged her about what was going on.
She accepts she was confrontational with medics when she took Isabelle to get her broken leg treated and that she became aggressive with her own mother when she raised concerns.
Mr Wright asks her if she was delaying bringing outside help and she died.
"That's something that I will have to live with all my life," she says.
Walker denies that she was hurting her daughter with Simpson.
"You were doing more to protect Simpson than you were to protect Isabelle," he says. She says: "No, that's not true."
12:12pm17/07/26
Simpson relationship
Mr Wright puts it to Walker that she 'chose' to let Simpson into her home while she got drunk on Stella and he got high smoking on his bong. She says 'yes'.
Walker accepts that she was storing and selling drugs from her Thornaby home after starting the relationship with Simpson.
She agrees that her alcohol consumption increased during the time she was in a relationship with Simpson.
He asks: "Do you accept any responsibility of any sort for Isabelle's death?"
She replies: "Yes, I feel like I failed as a parent to protect her but I had no idea of the horrors that were occurring in my home."
Walker says she didn't think anything was going on with her daughter after she went from a happy child to the bundle she saw on the sofa shortly before she died.
He asks: "Do you accept any responsibility for failing to urgent medical help for your child?"
She replies: "Yes, I do." However, she maintains that she was unaware of the abuse she was enduring and thought she just had a viral infection from her time in hospital.
"I thought it was just something that would go," she says.
Walker accepts that she failed to take Isabelle to hospital in the week leading up to her death when she was clearly unwell.
12:05pm17/07/26
Timeline of events
Mr Wright says the timeline of events starts on June 7 last year when a video captures Isabelle as a very active, happy and mischievous little girl.
He says he has no intention of putting it to her that she didn't love her daughter and that bringing up a young child can be challenging.
The court hears that things started to change once Walker met Simpson and introduced him to her family home.
Walker confirms that Isabelle suffered no serious injuries or broken bones before Simpson became part of her life.
She confirms that there were no concerns from doctors about Isabelle before Simpson started staying at her home.
Mr Wright says Isabelle's life went from happy and normal to suffering 21 fractured bones and being covered in bruises in just 89 days when she died.
The court hears they were a couple for around three months and the toddler was being terribly abused both physically and sexually within a matter of weeks.
"She went from being happy to being battered and broken before her death," he says.
11:57am17/07/26
Isabelle's injuries
Walker accepts that the injuries to her head were consistent with a high-speed car crash.
Mr Wright puts it to her that whoever inflicted the injuries intended to cause serious damage to Isabelle and that she was murdered and seriously sexually assaulted.
Walker agrees and says she wants to know the truth about how her daughter died and wants the person to face justice.
"You wouldn't want to protect the person who had murdered your child, would you?" he asks.
Walker replies yes and reiterates that she wouldn't do anything to protect the person who murdered Isabelle.

Cross examination
Richard Wright KC, prosecuting, will cross examine Alexandra Walker this morning.
The barrister is taking the 26-year-old through the catalogue of injuries her daughter, Isabelle Welsh, suffered are being put to her.
She confirms that none of them were an accident and accepts that they were all inflicted by an adult caring for her.

Not that I believe a word that comes out of her lying mouth, but she’s also sticking to the claim that she delayed calling an ambulance because she thought Isabelle was unwell with a viral infection?

Given poor Isabelle’s injuries that have been described - 21 broken bones, extensive bruising, a fractured skull and a broken spine (let alone the blood in the nappy) - I genuinely cannot understand how she would think anyone would believe that explanation?

I hope she rots.

She’s been well coached & seems to think she can give the best answer. She’s admitted being a liar so everything answer she gives is well considered by the jury. At first I thought Mr Wright was being too gentle with her, I’m not sure the reporting is poor!

It’s awful to read and that poor little girl ending up with these two!

It seems she’s trying to paint herself as someone who’s incapable of making any decisions on her own, given she apparently wasn’t able to understand she needed to call an ambulance while her daughter lay black and blue and unresponsive

If you love your daughter so much, why are you not screaming and wailing that she’s dying or has died? Why are you crying now in the court room?
I’d be absolutely distraught but she was in the kitchen having a cigarette because she was stressed? Stressed about what?

But got rid of the bong quick enough prioritising what was more important to her .

Mr Wright is doing such a good job imo. He’s already got her to admit that Isabelle died by being abused/attacked, I know AW’s defence is that HS is the only one responsible for the abuse, but I feel like that’s easily disproven.
I mean ffs how can you think a toddler covered in bruises and with broken bones is only poorly from a virus?
This is a woman who is apparently studying forensics, not anyone with a severe learning disability etc.

I think she lied about studying forensics.

I think she lied about studying forensics.
In the previous court reporting she said she had told ‘half truths’ or something to that effect, I recon she was studying and got kicked off. Regardless, she clearly wasn’t intellectually disabled, I’m just thinking of Star Hobson’s mum who had a very low IQ, that defence wouldn’t fly in this case.

She's as thick as two short planks, there's no chance she was studying forensics.
I hope she rots!
I actually don’t think she’s half as thick as the defence is making out. Also, plenty of thick af (in certain ways) people do well in our education system and go on to do scientific degrees.
I especially think this as someone who did very badly in school, but is (I like to think) not totally stupid but is autistic 😅

Any road, it depends on the uni, but she’s not intellectually challenged or severely uneducated/isolated.

Very true, but I really don't know how she thought any of this 'I had no idea' spiel is actually believable.
It’s hard to believe isn’t it? That’s clearly what her defence have gone for (it’s their job) and not that HS was abusive to her and Isabelle, she must have had some input into that decision. Totally POS not accepting any responsibility.

I’ve followed a few criminal trials over the last few years and it never ceases to amaze me the utter BS that people claim. At first I thought maybe I was missing bits of information and they must be plausible excuses in some way but time and again it’s been exactly what the evidence suggested. Sometimes people have actual years to come up with a story and it’s still transparently crap. All I can think is that they are thinking of their family and prison peers, they know they will be found guilty but will still say they didn’t do it in the hope they won’t be looked on as badly.
