I think the prize isn't great for an interior designer if the show is to be a spring board. Some sort of actual interior design project would perhaps attract better people. Maybe even have each week as a smaller example of part of the bigger prize project.

Like the prize is a hotel makeover. Week 1 is standard guest bedroom in a posh hotel. Week 2 is a dining room of a charity. Week 3 is still shop week etc and one of the judges is the owner of the final prize building seeking out who's style they like best.

Hope that makes sense, just a random brain dump of an idea!

The problem with the paper mache stuff she makes is that you can’t clean it? At least I don’t think so. Like the first episode where she covered the counter tops, surely anytime liquid gets in contact with that it will disintegrate?

Love that the show is called "interior design masters with Alan Carr" rather than "interior design masters with Monica"

£1100 for a tiny box like that 😱 the cinema room and stuff confuse me but I am antisocial and the thought of socialising with my neighbours, because that's surely how it will end up, horrifies me

I'm confused as to if they were meant to be designing it as if they were renting it? Because surely all that drilling and painting isn't allowed.

I was also confused this episode with the pushing of Duran - she was so awkward with everyone. Her squiggles and pastel colours are also always so samey.

I'm actually genuinely impressed by emmelys growth. once she let go of the Papier mache she became much....better. her artwork was a bit blah but it definitely worked for that generic modern feel.

Michelle doesn't seem that impressed with the designers she has been given either haha 😆 I can't believe ajeet was on the sofa though I just like him and he comes across professional I'm shocked and angry how can someone who has been on the sofa three times and showing such an attitude go through... 😒🙄

I think it’s a crap bunch this year. On the interior design masters Instagram, Duran isn’t taking too kindly to the criticism and has posted some salty replies. She also put a story up basically criticising Michelle’s critique, so I’m deducing she doesn’t win! (Thank goodness). I don’t think any of them deserve to win.

It's been poor hasn't it?
Nobody has had a Wow moment. I know it's hard to expect a Banjo every year but these ones are miles behind. They're all so set on their own taste they do the same thing all the time.
Emmely has improved a lot - but tbh she should have gone weeks ago.

Wow, she's so unprofessional. People are allowed an opinion on social media posts and they're also allowed not to like you - imagine if you were thinking of hiring one of this years lot for a job and you came across these immature comments from Duran?

Is her last name Yucky? She's running the risk of being another Domnall who had a big hissy fit his season. No one gets a career out of being a touchy little witch. Or a career out of being a one trick pony.

Two of them said "I used AI for this" and nobody really batted much of an eyelid - the royal obsessive for his King and Queen artworks in the castle hotel, and Ajeet with his heron artwork. Alan Carr made some jokes about how he can't be replaced with AI to Ajeet but there was no pushback on it. I know people that seem to bloody love using it with no thought of consequences.
