Michelle always seems spaced out to me, like she's dosed up to the eyeballs. I'm waiting for her to drop her classic rant about "foilage" whilst she tries to avoid Alan who she clearly cannot stand.

Some of the guest judges they have are absolute creatures as well! They're like characters from Ab Fab.

I wonder if they will wheel out HRH Queen of Greige the horrid harpy that is Kelly Hoppen this series, or if she's still drunkenly rolling that giant moss ball across London?

Can’t believe the result, wouldn’t have seen that coming from ep 1! But I feel it was well deserved and his cottage was the better of the two ☺

i guess using an image isn't THAT bad and bound to happen.
I disagree here. They are creatives on a creative TV show. If they couldn’t draw what they wanted they could have found a similar piece online and bought it or gone for a different idea. The whole show is around sustainability but AI is the worst culprit for wrecking the environment.

It's only just dawned on me that I have some of Holly's tea towels as she does a stall at one of my local maker's markets. And yes, they are a wacky psychadelic design 😂. I knew she and the other girl would be going as soon as the bloody mermaid was mentioned, loved her office space on the previous episode.
I was gutted Holly went, she was my fave, especially after the office space putting in a sink and water to make tea, that's a winner to me!

Argh Craig. Stumbled at the final hurdle. That downstairs space was exactly where his skill at a sort of cosy 50s speakeasy would have been perfect.
I am utterly baffled John has made it this far. Baffled. Not on this week's but generally.
Rita's was good and I loved the concept but I didn't like the idea of a VIP area tbh. Why? In a small comedy club. Seems a bit wanky.
And a bit unfair Craig had two areas over different floors to deal with unlike the others.
But on tonight's Craig had to go sadly.
if you look at Rita’s space, it was an awkward shape with a section that was out of view of the stage. I think turning that bit into a VIP area was a clever way of making a feature of it - it works as a nice seating area when the space is just functioning as a bar, and the comedian could hang there with family and friends before their set on comedy nights.

It was amazing how bland the cottages were before, especially for a place like port meirion!

It irks me that they obviously record the group bit at the start after the task is complete as they are all in the same clothes. The faux surprise when they are told the task is ridiculous

The paper mache also looks like something my nieces and nephews would produce in primary school. How on earth does she make a living with that?

The whole " we want to encourage people to rent" bullshit.
This felt very dystopian when Michelle said it. Easy for her to say she could see herself living there when she actually lives in a rural cottage that she’s currently renovating.

I think it’s a crap bunch this year. On the interior design masters Instagram, Duran isn’t taking too kindly to the criticism and has posted some salty replies. She also put a story up basically criticising Michelle’s critique, so I’m deducing she doesn’t win! (Thank goodness). I don’t think any of them deserve to win.
It's been poor hasn't it?
Nobody has had a Wow moment. I know it's hard to expect a Banjo every year but these ones are miles behind. They're all so set on their own taste they do the same thing all the time.
Emmely has improved a lot - but tbh she should have gone weeks ago.

Right ones on the sofa this week and right one went. I'm just not as engaged or interested as I normally am, though it was a better episode overall.

Nooooooooooooo!!!!

How can that boring black and white space with unchanged furniture and words written on the walls be worthy of a place in the final?!!?!

Yay

I did get excited when I went to Rye and found the shops they did last year (though one appears to have closed down).

I felt sorry for the pair who designed the wellness room as well. It was an impossible brief, in an awkward space, and I thought they did really well to try to include everything. And it was all moveable and the space could easily have been transformed, into anything.

I disliked the room with the wall divider and motto painted on the wall. The motto was a good idea but the rest of the room just looked cheap and nasty, and I had no idea of the point of the shelving and badly painted blue line on everything!

I wonder how much of this decoration will be left in the homeless charity premises?

I feel bad for Craig but his design made very little sense and it’s been done elsewhere and to better effect (for example, The Cosy Club).

I didn’t mind the flying guitars and I liked the Tartan wallpaper but the random Sex Pistols heart looked really cheap and childish and not linked at all to Granny chic. The disco ball guitar was bizarre.

Thought John did much better this week, Rita smashed it again and should be nailed on as the winner but Michelle’s decisions often baffle me so…

I thought the guitar shop fitted the brief exactly. I know they wang on about giving the client what they need rather than exactly what they want but that's rather patronising. Obviously clients are paying for ideas and expertise but guitar guy knew exactly what he wanted and made it clear. Also, anyone who plays guitar at a reasonable level knows exactly what they want and what they are looking at. The tree was an abomination.
